  1. 700W and print modes

I understand the terminology now. How can I get a print mode with unidirectional, white ink and 1200dpi? As these are all available features of my printer, I find it silly that I can only have access to one at a time.
  2. 700W and print modes

I’m new to this idea that so many settings are controlled by the media profile, and I find it quite limiting. With my other printers, if I want high res, it’s just an option I can click in the RIP. Same with white ink and unidirectional mode. They’re both individual options. Unless I’m not...
  3. Anyone using Flexi with HP 700W?

Right, but aren’t CMYK in the same boat? They’re process colors, not spot, and still I can control them in color mapping.
  4. Anyone using Flexi with HP 700W?

I am unable to see Lc and Lm in the color mapping of PM. In fact, the color mode is always grayed out, and never shows CMYKLcLm. It's only ever CMYK, even when the profile shows CMYKLcLm on the printer side. Anyone else able to see this problem?
  5. 700W white ink puddle?

We print white on almost every job. We have deactivated the circulation systems on all our UV printers because it just doesn’t apply to us. I do think we should remove them on weekends. After I get some data from the first set of heads. Let’s see how long they last in each scenario. So...
  6. 700W white ink puddle?

That was touched on in training, but it wasn't carried out. I'm just trying to be cautious, because it just says to put the heads away if not printing for "extended periods", so I wasn't sure if the process used a ton of ink.
  7. 700W take-up unloading?

So... during set-up, we were shown to simply tape the new roll to a bit of material on the take-up from a nearly empty roll. It's been like that for days, and includes a lot of test prints from the tech. Today I tried clicking "Unload take up roll", and it just started rolling the media back...
  8. 700W white ink puddle?

Thanks guys! What's the best way to see under it? Pulll it out? Or is there a way to move the carriage to a spot where it's visible?
  9. 700W white ink puddle?

Brand new machine. There was a minor head strike during install, so maybe it’s related? The tech was nice enough to send 4 replacement heads, but not of them are white. Anyone else seen white ink puddles like this? Install was 5 days ago, printed 4 inches since with no problem.
  10. Help with HP 700 latex

Wait… my prints are great until exposed to humidity. Is it possible for optimizer to shield the ink from humidity?
  11. Help with HP 700 latex

Thank you! Yes, I could easily switch to a printable vinyl, but the polypropylene is what it is and I can’t switch it. Is the heat level and print speed likely to be a large factor?
  12. Help with HP 700 latex

Oh, okay. I saw a Lexjet video that said it was on by default. I can’t be sure because it was done by someone who did not speak to us directly, but so think it was on because it’s quite scratch resistant until you breathe on it directly. That little bit of humidity makes it garbage.
  13. Help with HP 700 latex

I’m hoping someone with this printer can help me interpret this. I’m about to purchase the printer, but I noticed something alarming about three test prints I received. All passed the initial scratch test we do (we don’t want to laminate). On a random whim, I decided to test them again...
  14. LEC-2 640 Feedback

I'd stick with the LEJ-640. Buy another used one. At least you can work on it, and there is a growing community to help ( versauv.com ) The new machines are way more locked down... Even Mimaki.
  15. LEC2-300 owners??

I don't like being locked out of service mode on the LEC2-300. That's about all I have to say.
  16. Need Help HELP: Roland sold me a defective printer and I lost $750,000

I get it. When I first bought one if these LEC's, the floor model did NOT do what I wanted. I bought it anyway, thinking that if I could tinker with it for a couple months, I'd get better at using it. Turned out to be more like a year, but I got there, and I don't regret it. But I can...
  17. Help Need to find Avery type label paper with high tack!

I thought you wanted them to be easily torn? Just use vinyl, and cut a dashed line where it needs to tear. Adjust the dash length and spacing to suit the difficulty of tear you desire.
  18. LEJ640 Keeps disconnecting

Check your router settings for number if connections, time limits, etc... If you don't see something obvious, a new router is likely going to solve it.
  19. Question anyone want roland pc 600 parts machine?

Hi there, I absolutely love the PC600! I was devastated when they stopped making the heads :(. Are any of these still printing?
