  1. Does anyone know if having a bubble in a damper will cause missing nozzles?

That, or there's a knick around the capping station seal, or the rubber is just old and not making a good seal anymore.
  2. HELP! SP 300 Printing a foot or so then printing going blurry

I'll bet it's the round encoder strip that's attached to the drive roller on the left hand side of the machine. (I sure hope you aren't using acetone to clean the encoder strip? That would basically erase all the little micro fine hash marks and your printer would be confused)
  3. Rodeo clown barrel

Now, I obviously don't have the barrel's circumference, nor the diameter of the top ring and mid line. But if I did I could make you a perfect barrel wrap. I just quickly illustrated how the more complicated part of the barrel could be wrapped. Provided you have access to the barrel and can...
  4. Rodeo clown barrel

Don't mess with me... there's nothing I've ever excelled in better than spacial relations. :toasting: I might suck at everything life has to offer, but I can 3D wrap my mind around any shape, flattened or otherwise. In fact I often dream in complex expanding/unfolding geometric shapes. And yes...
  5. Rodeo clown barrel

Wouldn't you just start with a couple of pieces like this?
  6. Does anyone know if having a bubble in a damper will cause missing nozzles?

It's the little lines under your capping station. They are clogged. When you do a cleaning cycle, it's not pulling full vacuum. Check the ring around the capping station and make sure it's pristine. But more importantly, pull the little black lines under the capping station, as well as the...
  7. Updated Logo for a Customer

    Yeah... waaaay too similar.
  8. I'm officially retireing from doing race car lettering!!!!

What you have to do now is double your price. Make it worth your while, and sanity.
  9. CNC review for Cabinet and Sign Maker ... but uses shills to get them sold

Next time you want an import router, just get one off of eBay. Then if you don't get it, let PayPal ruin their business. HAHA! :ROFLMAO: At least the stuff on there has about a 99% delivery rate. Whether or not the stuff is any good, well that's for another discussion. But seeing how Precix...
  10. CNC review for Cabinet and Sign Maker ... but uses shills to get them sold

I just google mapped their address. And it's definitely a place you can go to. It's a standard looking industrial park. But I get the sneaking suspicion that they don't actually fabricate the machines there. Precix Advanced Cutting Technologies Unit 280 - 19358 96th Ave. Surrey, B.C. V4N 4C1...
  11. CNC review for Cabinet and Sign Maker ... but uses shills to get them sold

Actually looks like they are Canadian company. Or at least have an office in Surrey B.C. Why not drive over there with some pitch forks and demand your money or your router? I'll bet you they are really just a glorified importer and got caught out, with either customs or not being able to...
  12. CNC review for Cabinet and Sign Maker ... but uses shills to get them sold

Our long arm of the law doesn't apply to China. (not yet anyway... just give us some time, we are working on it) Plus, they look like they are in Canada. Even wimpier legal system. Not nearly as litigious as ours! :ROFLMAO: (sorry... had to go there! I'll buy you some poutine and a nice tall...
  13. Updated Logo for a Customer

It almost seems like the head needs to be above the word (title)
  14. Artwork Release fee

You are 100% correct. However, that's not real world. Seriously, next client that comes in and wants something designed. Tell him up front it's going to cost him $1000. That's fair and reasonable from our standpoint. It's not too high, and it's not $100 either, or some lowball hourly rate. But...
  15. Just how durable is a floor graphic?

Yes, anything that's polycarbonate 10mil and higher can handle significant traffic. Some have a pebbly texture to help with slippage and traction. The vinyl you print on should be the HT (High Tack Cast) variety. And possibly heated to the surface.
  16. Artwork Release fee

Also I should add that when you, the business owner or designer use terms like "hold hostage the design" etc, what you are saying is that you are taking the side of the customer, and keeping your business afloat is tantamount to capitalistic terrorism. It's not personal, it's just business...
  17. Artwork Release fee

YES... go buy a logo from shutterstock or istock. Read the usage terms carefully before downloading. It's outlined clearly how you can use it, and even how many copies of something you can put that logo on. Then notice there are extended usage rights that gives you the file to use outright...
  18. Artwork Release fee

There are several different overlapping realms of "Design" that aren't talked about or very apparent from the customer's point of view. There's the "Design Studio / Marketing Firm / Advertising Agency" style. Then on the other spectrum, there's "Sign / Print Shops" who also design and do pretty...
  19. Artwork Release fee

Right, I'm going to ask my plumber if I can have his drain snake, since I saw a video on YouTube on how to clear my pipes. I paid him to do it once, and it was a lot. Certainly enough have paid for his tools, so I deserve them now. Then I'm going to ask my dentist if I can have a few of his...
  20. Artwork Release fee

Because most places would go out of business just waiting around for the right clients who are willing and able to pay. "Willing AND Able" are the key components, and are like unicorns to the rest of us mere mortals.
