Make your own quite easily for $20.
It really works well and uses no power. I have printed only 8 foot banners so far but works like a charm. It should handle a 30 foot with the 2 foot drop setup I have now. Only change I might add is using a heavier weight than 10 lbs if needed for longer...
I used a clear cling from Mondrian Hall MH Select Clear Cling. If you reverse print then the non ink side can go to the window. I did find that the ink can transfer to the window. This may have just been that the ink had not cured but I had read that others had ink transfer on a window. Also...
Thanks for the pic and info.
I can get the regular #2 grommets to work in plain 4mm coro but if there was much more thickness added ( as was said by replicator) I can see how there would be not much of the grommet getting rounded over for holding power.
Ok, I see that the gap in your press is quite narrow. On the Stimpson there is about 1 3/4" gap so thickness of the material is not the issue. I'm sure the long necks would fit the Stimpson then as well then but if someone had tried them already and could confirm that they press out just as...
I have a Stimpson Grommet press and some standard #2 (3/8") grommets. Just tried 4mm coro and moved the stop up a bit and they hold quite well. The collar on the grommet is only 3/16" long but seems to have a good hold on the coro with only a tiny bit of compression in the coro. Any thicker coro...
Do make sure the drain lines are not blocked otherwise there will be no suction to draw ink into the heads. You could try to attach a syringe to the drain line in the drain bottle. Try to draw the syringe. If you hear sucking then that line is clear. Do both lines. If you have resistance...
Does it do that on just that file you are trying to print or all files?
If just on that one then:
It looks like the line is a box around the 20 as if it was a line of text or numbers that was dropped over the existing background but the color does not match up giving a line effect around...
Ink starvation in the middle of a print
I know this is from an older post but it may help others as well as D-Signs
I have the CJ 500 Converted.
I had a problem were I was printing a full bleed of color and after a couple feet the color started to fade out (ink starvation). I paused and...
I have a CJ 500 so I have done everything on it my self. On my unit you can easily remove the caps out of the holders to get the tubes out. I could have also just removed the tube from the end that goes to that small rectangle box with the rubber nipples on the other side. This is what moves...
What you will find is even when they say the ink will print the same, the colors may be off if you use the Roland profiles. Some you can tweak but you might need to get a profile made. What happens is the profile you are using now thinks you have ( lets say rolands inks ) installed. It spits out...
Make sure that if you still had ink in the cart it may a blockage issue. If dampers still had lots of ink then this may be the issue. I just ran through a problem where half way through a large print the colors started to fade on the one where there was a full print in that color. The others...
You might want to add what brand of ink you are using as this is the main cause of the color being out. If color is ok and its just the print quality (too much ink, or too little etc.) then tell us that too.
Also if you have an exact brand of vinyl you are printing on as there are major...
Not sure if Versaworks has similar issues with AVG anti virus as colorchoice did, but you had to uninstall AVG totaly to get colorchoice to install.
Do you have AVG running and does anyone know if it will effect veraworks?
I picked up the Eye one Extreme almost a year ago. I was unable to get the new inks in my waterbased printer to work until I made my own profiles with the Eye one Extreme. Now they are great and by using the new (lower priced) inks it paid for half the Eye One and by using new inks in the...
If the width is the exact same then it has to do with the banner after its printed, streatching. If you measure it, is the original image now 8' 1""?
If so then you know the banner material has stretched due to the full print of ink. This will happen. Not sure if even time will make it...
Why don't you want to just cut off a 24" by the 64" wide roll and just start off with a 24" wide and print the crop marks? Unless you want to be longer than the 64" for your project.
Not sure about your printer and crop marks but my roland needs a few extra inches to print the crop marks and...
A post in another thread had yellow problems on trash can decals that faded to nothing. Any idea on the tme frame that those signs were up, to when the color faded?
