You should start by getting a job with a printing/sign shop for a year or two just to get your feet wet. Then get a complete business plan set up before you start buying anything.
If you just want to lose money while teaching your self the business, I would start with an HP2650 or Mimaki...
Ya, pigment is not the best choice for door magnets. Solvent or latex inks would be a much better choice. If your wanting to do out door signage, you can pick up a used solvent printer in the 48"-54" fairly cheap.
No, your Epson will not print on the magnetic material.
6-5/16" is the min to hit the sensor. Put the right roller on the left edge of the wide part of the drum. Put the center roller right next to it but "lock" it in the up position. Put the left roller on the 2nd from the right window to the drum. Put your 6 1/2" strip of vinyl in and cut away.

All latex, or half & half?
Nice job.
Back in the day when I was still printing, the most I installed in a day 500'. That was with one helper. I know, not a speed record. We were small time goon's.
Did I say nice job? :thumb:
Just wait till an ESC or a motor fails, he will crash his cat and break one of its arms off. Then he will feel bad...
(I know, cats have legs, BUT Quad Copters have "arms")
I think when a logo makes me hungry, you did a great job!
The only thing I can think of to make it better would be "scratch & sniff". Melted butter....
Lots of people use a Mac for wide format design and printing. Ive used Onyx PosterShop, Wasatch and Flexi. For profiling and color, I liked Onyx myself. Thought my Print & Cut was still done through Flexi Pro.
Ya, 107 here today. Too hot for June 1st. I just had the coolers in the shop tuned up about a month ago. Shop was nice and somewhat cool today. Lets see what happens when it hits 117. Thats when you start to sweat in places that you dont like to sweat in. :banghead:
I hate Vegas summers...
I have a double post 2 hours apart?? I first post was at 8am was on my tablet, dont know why it double posted over 2 hours latter. Thats weird. My Tab has been acting buggy for the last mouth or so. Anyway, sorry.
If your only cutting vinyl on the side (low volume), the QE-60 would work fine. Heck, you might not even need that much. With ARMs? You dont need no stinking arms... IMO
:Big Laugh
I used Kapco photo gloss with my first wide format back in 99 (encad 700), but haven't heard the name or used it since about 02 when I went solvent.
When I read his post, wraps didnt even enter my mind. LOL
