  1. Edge2 or a Easy Bake Oven?

The Mac question is only because Im thinking about making the switch to Mac's for my design station. I still need to upgrade to CS2, among others, so I was going to switch over to then. I called and asked if I could trade in one of our two PC Flexi's for the Mac version, and they said no...

  5. Edge2 or a Easy Bake Oven?

I got the crazy idea to get a Edge. It will have to be used, so what do I have to know when looking. The good, the bad, you know. I have 7 years of wide format inkjets under my belt (60" and over). Other than a few months of using a Roland PC60 back in 97' or 98', I know very little about...

I still have my last 60" Encad 700. I havent fired it up in a couple years. I should get rid of it. It was the lastest and greatest in the late 90's. The last Encad I bought was $18,500. It might be worth $1,200-$1,400.

  11. Printer question

$500 is not in the 'too good to be true' range. Its about what its worth, If it works, and your ok with the 24" size. Look into replacement GS Ink & cartridge Kits. When it runs out of ink it will coat you $600 to refill (Kodak). Is the printer about out of ink now?
  12. Printer question

After thinking about it for 2-3 min. how much is this thing going to cost you? If it WORKS and is CHEAP, it would be great to get your feet wet.

Shop around before you buy. The deal on the RJ-6100 sounds OK, but a newer and wider Mutoh 46" RJ-6100 (the dye based Rockhopper) should sale in the UK for around 4,250 GBP, NEW. If you can afford it I would get the newer 46" printer. In the US its hard to find alot of 42" rolls of matteriel...

For indoor only type stuff, you could pick up a used dye based 60" HP or Encad for 1500-2000 GBP.

Using the same, 48" Mutoh. Great printer. Must say, it’s more printer than I expected, but, we have out grown it and are looking to add a bigger/faster printer (JV5). Now, you said 36"-42", what’s more important is how much printer can you afford? The Roland 30" print/cut is $15K, and the Mutoh...
