we've ordered a few things through fellers the past several months or so, only been dealing with them for that long and they were good. the past 6 weeks i have tried to get a quote on a printer.......no joy, and the past 2 weeks a quote on a laminator, again.........no joy! the printer i phoned...
i'm not very good at illy or ps to be honest as i've only have been using it for a few months. have been using composer for the last 6 years. anyways....i have a filter that i added to an image in ps(version 4) and when i take it back into illy(version 3) the image/filter i added looks very...
don't go by the ink bars in versa works, thats just an estimate. the machine will give you a beeping sound and on the screen on the printer panel it will tell you which ink bank needs changing. what i do is have a color ready that you see in versa thats going to be empty and then have it ready...
its very, very easy to do. as they said above reverse print order, use the 123 dialoge box(that will be your friend!!). double check in gspplot to make sure all is well and then print. we also do it on static cling with good results.
i'm looking for a boulder/stone type image for a background i'm doing. the best way i can discribe it, is the big square boulders that you may see on a castle. any ideas where i can get such a thing? i have the usually brick and pebble type stuff, but not this.
we have a good dslr with lenses etc....so thats good! good idea gino on the filters, will make they are on when the pictures are taken. i'll take a look at that link wetgravy, thanks! appreciated as always.
not sure if this is the right threat, so apologies if its not.
i have a client who wants us to take some photos of his model hot rod cars for us to then print. whats going to give us the best results? i had thought of this>>> putting a white sheet over a box for the back ground and having it...
thanks everyone for the info and tips. i know gerber do mag material, but i heard its alittle expensive for what it is etc. sounds like a cheap plotter and cutting blanks then applying is what to do.
thanks again, much appreciated guys!
thought maybe thats what you were doing, cutting the blanks and then laying down the vinyl.....but figured hay, maybe you were doing it with crop marks. so i'm guessing the best place to get said cheap plotter is ebay right?
ok, yeah, got yeah! thanks man. how are you lining up the print and the cheap plotter to cut the shapes out then? crop marks? wouldn't it need to have the optical eye registration for that?
we get asked quite abit for round or oval shaped small magnets. the sqaure ones we cut with a standard ruler blade type set up, real easy. the oval/round ones we sub out. however, what would be a good way for us to do it? would the only way to do this be a die cutting machine? if so, what should...
yeah, agree with signage on that one, maybe wholesale for some of your prints, your going to get better looking results. the gerbers are great for somethings(we've had our nearly 6 years now, and we got an inkjet last year as it was needed!
your never going to get great gradients on a gerber. you can get passable looking gradients but thats about it. one of those things using the gerber that an ink jet can do better.
i did read post number 2 yes, and i was told by gerber that the perticular material i was using is gerber thermal printable. i do get mixed results printing on it, but i want better results. thats why when fred said about it needing to be treated first i thought maybe putting a clear lam like...
