  1. Changing color profile on Mimaki TS300p-1800

I agree with FrankW, also, I have a customer who uses florescent inks just like you are describing in a JV33 and he got his profiles from the ink manufacturer.
  2. Mutoh 1624 KCMY S/C Readerr

    Are you using OEM inks?
  3. Need Help Mutoh 1304 caping station no all color - only magenta

There is no alignment for the cap top/head on these machines. As long as all the screws fit in the proper place without having to bend any brackets etc. it should line up. When you did the cap top replacement, did you flush some cleaning solution through the tubes to make sure they aren't...
  4. Rant trying to fix a mutoh 1204a

As a certified Mutoh tech for over 13 years, I agree. Although they tend to be better translated than Mimaki manuals, Mimaki at least has electronic troubleshooting guides for each machine. Mutoh's philosophy seems to be, if you get this error code, replace this part and don't ask questions...
  5. Mutoh 1614 - EO74Err CR2 Current (HELP)

CR overcurrent errors mean the motor is taking too much voltage to move and/or the main board isn't receiving encoder data. If the rail hasn't been cleaned and greased in a while, you might as well take care of that. Clean the encoder with some alcohol and a swab or lint free cloth as well. If...
  6. Need Help JFX-200 Head 2 not working

I haven't had an entire head go out on a JFX200 yet but on most other machines I work on, it indicates a blown fuse somewhere in the system. I would test the fuses on the HDC board for continuity. I believe there is an electrical troubleshooting guide but I'm having trouble finding it.
  7. Parts

Most likely! I'm sure there is a supplier closer to you if you Google it.
  8. Parts

If you click on the link, you'll see the price. I don't like to post prices on here because we end up getting calls for prices from 10 years ago! It's hard to see but if you hover over the Roland DX4 print head text, it is a link.
  9. what's next?

As far as vinyl goes, I think you'll find that more and more of the little guys are going away and you can only find it at the Fellers and Grimcos of the world. As a smaller dealer, a large portion of our sales used to be vinyl 10 years ago. While we do still carry some basic vinyls and...
  10. Parts

We have them in stock here in Denver. Roland DX4 print head. It comes with a free set of dampers as well.
  11. Mutoh 1304 pinch rollers leaving tracks

Good info. I've asked Mutoh many times to confirm the price of these rollers because it seems so outrageous and they confirm it every time. $26 for a half inch piece of plastic with rubber on it. It's crazy.
  12. uv printer

They work great. You can even print a layered print that will look different when lit and unlit.
  13. Mutoh 1304 pinch rollers leaving tracks

They get like that after a while for some reason. Replacing them is really the only way once they get sticky like that in my experience. Make sure you clean them with alcohol and not the solvent cleaning solution. Solvent will just make them more sticky.
  14. Circle sticker issues

It almost looks like your cutter is having issues. There are some jagged edges that should be smooth. Maybe your blade holder and/or cut strip is worn out? Most design programs have a centering tool that does it mathematically. On the design end it should be perfect. It would have to be the...
  15. Can I get an opinion on this Test Draw?

It looks like a cap top and possible pump issue for sure but you won't know for sure until you install those parts. You could get them in and it only improves a little or it completely fixes the issues. I don't see any electrical or physical damage indicators though.
  16. uv printer

We had a defective UV machine out of the box a while back where the head carriage was up too high and wouldn't allow us to lower it. It still printed fine but due to the improper height, it coated the entire inside of the machine in yellow ink dust. Makes me wonder how much ink dust it makes...
  17. Easy to match colors with onyx?

Flexi has a tool called the "Color Mapping" tool. You pick a Pantone color and then it prints a grid of the color adjusted in cooler and warmer directions. You pick the one that looks closest to your color and it replaces that from now on. Takes some of the headache out of matching. I wouldn't...
  18. uv printer

Good: Cures virtually immediately, prints white better than other ink types, multi layer printing for cool effects, no heaters, ink is cheaper, can print direct to substrates, low to no solvent content. Bad: Laminating may require a heat assist laminator or liquid lam, clogged nozzles are...
  19. Anyone know of any Environmentally friendly print or cad cut vinyls out there?

Oracal had a PVC free vinyl for a while but I can't remember the part number. Cast vinyl uses fewer pthalates so I guess that's a little more environmentally friendly.
  20. [Mimaki UCJV-300 160] Patchy Print

I almost feel like it's just a profile issue. Have you tried a different 600x600 profile?
