i actually back mine up twice a week. we do very few transactions my largest client "snapshots" data 4 times a day. they generate approx 600-1000 invoices daily that is the big question, how long would it take to reconstruct the days orders (if there is a way to reconstruct them)...
  3. What do y'all think the best approach would be.................................... ??

To me the purpose of that thing is to give you a warning if SOMEONE TURNED THE BREAKER BACK ON after you walked away. my shop looks like the greenlee warehouse (with a bunch of oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers thrown in for good measure. But those little bastards do serve a purpose

  13. Not Really Surprised...

In the 1970’s I worked with & reported to “Fred”. in 1976 we bought Fred a Casio calculator for around $125. ALMOST OVERNIGHT, Fred lost the ability to add numbers in his head (and count on his fingers…) I am not optimistic what the effect of AI will be
  14. Not Really Surprised...

in all fairness, i have to point out that we would always have a plethora of dullards, even in the absence of AI it really isn't AI making them stupid. it bothers me more that those developing AI feel obligated to follow the plot line of their favorite science fiction movie and have AI attempt...

  17. window perf, hp315 and head strikes

but, you would think that paper absorbs quite a bit of humidity plastic should not be hydroscopic, BUT anyone who does 3D printing can tell you that if you store your filament improperly it sounds like you are making popcorn

  19. window perf, hp315 and head strikes

a console humidifier might pay for itself very quickly Jburton got my attention, all you would need to do is close the gap between how much the backing paper absorbs & what the perf absorbs.
  20. window perf, hp315 and head strikes

i am the worst as far as storing my materials improperly. that being said, would it help to store the perf in a bag with something hydroscopic (rice, or some of those little capsules that come in my prilosec? if we can control how much moisture the paper absorbs, you could minimize the situation
