Has any one with a UCJV300 printed on perforated vinyl? How did it work? Did you laminate the print? I saw this video on youtube where they just print their own perf pattern on clear vinyl, but I have some perf vinyl in stock that I'd like to use up, but I no longer have a solvent printer.

Your photos are a bit confusing to me. It almost looks like you're feeding the material through backwards? Also, is that a piece for corrugated plastic under the print and between the rollers? I think you need to zoom out and show us photos of your whole process from setup to finish.

For the extreme saver, put some masking tape over the groves in the platen, where the end of the material can get stuck during cutting.. I also recommend the scrap vinyl on the take up real for hard to work with media.

You can also put some masking tape over the vacuum holes not being used, maybe not as good of a solution, but it helps in a pinch.

I printed these on the Mimaki UCJV with a Matte UV clear coat in single pass. You can also do Glossy UV if you prefer.

I had a Roland VP and a Roland VS and the clamps are different, they connected to a white clip that would slide with the wheels on the far left and far right sides. But I would assume those 2 white pins have something to do with the way they attach!?

What brand of printer/ink? Check out PDS Equipment in Nashville, I know they sell primer that works with Mimaki UV. I've never had to use any primer personally, so I am not much help!

Sometimes I'll round the corners of cut vinyl, I think it helps avoid cracking, less stress points. It's pretty easy to round all corners with Illustrator.

If you can find someone selling aftermarket ink locally, normally they will have a tech. No guarantee they are good, but this is how I found a few local techs. Usually they worked for one of the bigger suppliers and quit to sell aftermarket supplies and service.

To answer a few of the questions I saw. You can't have Lc and Lm with White and Clear, they both take up 2 ink channels. Lamination is possible without a lot of silvering if you have a heat assist laminator, I find adding a bit of down pressure when laminating helps a lot, I have not tried...
