  1. Epson 9600 and Phototex

Just automatic RGB. The orange is Corel spot color orange. Nothing fancy, at all.
  2. Epson 9600 and Phototex

Using Phototex, Epson pro 9600, ultrachrome inks. Printing straight from Corel X4. Trying to print this camaro wall banner. Printed a small one to check the color, the orange came out a murky orange, instead of hugger orange. So, changed the profile, and printed a test square, looked good...

  8. Vinyl sticking to painted walls?

As long as the paint isn't the 'easy clean', or 'stain resistant', versions, you should be good to go. The stain resistant paints have either teflon, or silicon in them, which makes them resistant to stains, and vinyl.
  9. Architectual drawings, Plot, or Print?

Thanks for the replies. Her daughter-in-law is supposed to be bringing me the 'disk', this weekend, so I'll get to see what format it is, and stuff. They are wanting these printed as art pieces, I guess, to frame and hang. Granpa was supposed to be some kind of big time achitech back in the day...
  10. Architectual drawings, Plot, or Print?

A lady ask me about reproducing some old architectual drawings. Never done any before, never been asked before. What would be the better method, pen plot in Graphtec, or print on Epson 9600? They are 'supposed' to be already scanned on a disk.
  11. Anyone using an Epson 9800???

Or, might want to check out ChromaRoll aluminum. The new version has a more brushed look. Direct print with pigment inks, and now is self adhesive. I just got a sample roll, haven't had a chance to try it yet. chromaroll.com I reckon.
  12. Vinyl not sticking to drywall

Some of the new paints have teflon, or silicon in them, for easy cleaning. Also means nothing else will stick either. Only thing I've found to work halfa$$, is to take a scotchbrite pad, and scuff the area. Then it's 50/50.
  13. Best material for interior block wall raps/prints?

They are putting teflon, and silicon in some paints to make them more stain resistant. Which also makes them resist everything else too. I've got a piece painted with the stain resistant paint, and a piece of phototex on it, been there for a couple months, doesn't show any sign of coming off.
  14. Clear adhesive spray that is repositionable.

Go to the craft section at walmart, and get a can of re-positionable adhesive spray, and see if that might work.
  15. Need Advise on following Aqueous Rolls

If you are running black pigment ink, (didn't know you could do that), with the dyes, just change the dyes, over to pigments. Coat with some FrogJuice, you can get a year, or so. Except the reds.
  16. Need Advise on following Aqueous Rolls

I've used Lexjet Toughcote, it's good. You can forget the dye inks outside though.
  17. Epson 9890 Perforated Window vinyl?

I think Kapco has some aqueous perf. Maybe Sihl too? It'll last a year, or so.
  18. Can you use Cleaning Flush in an Ultrasonic Cleaner

If it's a hopelessly clogged head, maybe try something a little more aggressive than 'head cleaner', what's its gonna hurt?
  19. Can you use Cleaning Flush in an Ultrasonic Cleaner

Don't see any reason why not. I've used mineral spirits, laquer thinner in mine to clean air brushes.
  20. Cartridge recycling woes - Challenge: Canadian

If it's weighing that heavily on ya, why not just get a CIS system, and use bulk ink. No more carts, you're happy, and the earth is happy.
