  7. Things they don't tell you about UV flatbed printers

DoubleDown: The Oce 250GT is 5 years old but with very low hours. It has not been used as a high production machine. It will produce 4 to 5 boards an hour depending on the quality mode that is selected. You said that you use the "harder ink set". I think that is the 255 ink. I know that the...
  8. Things they don't tell you about UV flatbed printers

I'm in the market for a used machine. I screwed up 4 years ago when i bought a Colorspan 5465 and i want to trade up to a solid, quality used machine of which i have found several. The Colorspan was a first generation machine with lots of problems. I know that Oce 350GT is a good machine...
  9. roll media option for 250GT?

Yesterday i bought a slightly used Oce 250gt with the roll option installed. It's due to be installed in 2 weeks. It should be interesting to see how well it works with 7' wide materiel. I was told the cheap banner materiel from china wont work because it ripples. Hopefully Ultraflex banner...
  10. SGIA 2012 and CET

Sean, thanks for the info. I'm pretty close to making a decision on a printer. The Q series prints pretty nice but i am still concerned with the speed. How many sheets of 4x8 CHEAP coro will your 8 head machine run per hour? We all have customers that need the cheap stuff. Also, i just found a...
  11. SGIA 2012 and CET

Why are you changing from the Ricoh heads? I am considering the purchase of a CET machine but i am unsure which configuration is best for the signage market. The Spectra heads are blaziing fast while the ricoh heads print better quality, but much slower. Did you have issues with the ricoh's?
  12. Banner material and EPSON GS6000 help

We found an easy solution We were having problems with most every materiel we printed on with our GS6000. Vinyl, banners and paper would always have occasional head strikes. We finally figured out how to eliminate the problem. We use 3/16" foam core cut into 3/4" x 5" strips and use them to...

  18. HP FB500 Leftover ink in boxes

Once you open the box...make sure you don't leave the ink bag exposed to too much light, it may cure the ink and clog up the filters or worse.
  19. can you remove a print? from a uv flatbed?

I have a colorspan/hp uv flatbed. Denatured alcohol lifts the ink off without a hitch.....it's messy though. I could'nt imagine cleaning 75 boards though.
  20. Colorburst shutting down. File too big. Now what?

Downsize the file in photoshop Open the file in photoshop. You can resample the image to 100 dpi at final size cmyk and it will print perfectly.
