  1. What causes this in my spot color backgrounds?

What printer do you have? Does it happen on all substrates, and different profiles? Maybe post a pic of your nozzle check, and maybe a pic of your perfect blue next to the black? Also, check your heat settings and head height. Mark

  6. Color

OK, last response to your "help" I can print it, but then what do I compare it to? The purpose of the "Pantone Matching System" is right in the name. I need to "match" a specific" colour, specified by the customer, who is out of town. The colour I need to "match" or compare to is not in the...
  7. Color

Thanks. That gives me a starting point. Like anything else to do with colour matching, it is very subjective. printer/material/lighting/customer! :) Mark

Thanks. I did see that, but it still doesn't give me something physical to compare to.

Thanks. Tried that and 2383 is not even listed! Wonder if it's a new colour?
  10. Color

Hi! I have an out of town customer requesting a large print. Sent us the artwork, so no problem. However, the blue in their logo is Pantone 2383C, and, for some reason, it is not in any of our Pantone books. I found it on-line, but I can't print from that. Do any of you Roland users have a...
  11. heater error message

Thanks. I got rid of the error code (not sure how :) ) but now the upper number (red) seems to be in fahrenheit instead of celcius. :( Right now my set temp is 40, but the red number above it, is reading 112! At least it seems to be working now, sort of. Think I'll go search out a service...

Hi. We have an older SC-540 with the HU-540 heater retro fitted. Printer works great, but I've recently started getting error messages on the heater control. The error message is "UUUU". I cannot find a listing of the HU-540 error messages anywhere. Anybody know what this might be? Thanks, Mark

  18. Tiny jaggies when doing ConTour cutting on a Roland SP-540V?

I agree with VanderJ, your blade holder may be seizing a little. Doesn't take much to affect cutting accuracy. If you have a spare holder, just give it a try. Also, if you have a plotter pen, see if it does the same thing on some blank vinyl. Good luck, Mark
