Why Acrylic I find acrylic to be a good option for signs that are within arms reach, out in weather, where thickness is key. Edges maintain sharpness, lasts a long time. Also, in this instance, it is a specified material, retirements are a little strict.

We have about 20 smaller sign panels that need a good gloss paint, suitable for outdoor use. They will be .25" acrylic, and need to last outdoors for some time. Typically we use automotive primer/paint on our metal signs of same size, but acrylic is required here. Will the same paint combo work?

That is what I am thinking, but what about the small area that needs a digital print. Apply that over the clear, so it can be changed out over time, or under the clear? I know that 3M cut vinyl works fine under the clear, but what about something like IJ180?

Thanks, that looks like a good method. I may go that route. I think one issue is that we are relying solely on VHB. I think there ought to be some epoxy in there somewhere.
