  1. PS shape burst in Illustrator

Take shape, outline it to desired ending point, change color and opacity to desired ending point. Go to path>blend>blend options and change it to specified steps and then specify how many steps you want (sample attached is 20). Select the two shapes and perform a blend.
  2. Corner Brace Needed, Where to Find

Thank you! Looks like they may have something. I have requested a catalog.
  3. Corner Brace Needed, Where to Find

I am constructing some hinged displays, and am doing so on a budget (my customers, not mine). The design is basically an "L" shape made from some hinged foam or gator. I need to brace the angle in a way that can be easily setup or taken down. I have attached a drawing of something I have seen...
  4. Quick Turn on ADA

Hello, I have a project that I am trying to jam into the first week of the year and it requires some Rowmark ADA w/Raster type braille. The company that I typically get quotes from is out 4 weeks or more. Is there a place that can do these in 2-3 weeks or less? Is there many places out there...
  5. Where to Buy Specific ADA Signage

Incredibly helpful! Thank you very much! The raster braille system is pretty cool!
  6. Where to Buy Specific ADA Signage

Does anyone know the vendor on this specific ADA Signage? I need to add in some signs, but do not know where they were originally obtained. It looks like it was a sandwich of clear and white acrylic, and the white was routered away except for the letters. Don't know how the braille was done...
  7. Onyx 11 - Anyone else find it unuseable?

We recently upgraded to Onyx 11, and after one week of battling a hardware key issue we were finally able to install. Out of the first three prints, two were bad. In Onyx 10 we would wind up with a few transparency issues (Pantone gradient or transparency, forget about it!). Sometime logos...
  8. Painting Acrylic Sign Panels

Why Acrylic I find acrylic to be a good option for signs that are within arms reach, out in weather, where thickness is key. Edges maintain sharpness, lasts a long time. Also, in this instance, it is a specified material, retirements are a little strict.
  9. Painting Acrylic Sign Panels

Details! Opaque sign panels, one bright red, one metallic.
  10. Painting Acrylic Sign Panels

We have about 20 smaller sign panels that need a good gloss paint, suitable for outdoor use. They will be .25" acrylic, and need to last outdoors for some time. Typically we use automotive primer/paint on our metal signs of same size, but acrylic is required here. Will the same paint combo work?
  11. Moving a Pylon Sign

Gino, Thank you! I also have a quote going for new signage, and may very well end up going that route (again partnering). They have asked with for this quote as well so I am trying to oblige. I will place a call with the planning department. Ryan
  12. Moving a Pylon Sign

I have a client looking to move his current sign to his new location 2.6 miles down the road. The current pylon sign is about 16 feet tall, and has construction similar to the photo attached (but smaller). We would be subbing the majority of the job out, but before I get too deep into this, is...
  13. How Would You Make These Signs?

That is what I am thinking, but what about the small area that needs a digital print. Apply that over the clear, so it can be changed out over time, or under the clear? I know that 3M cut vinyl works fine under the clear, but what about something like IJ180?
  14. How Would You Make These Signs?

We do numerous signs that go in public areas that have the rules of the site listed. Most are two color cut vinyl on DiBond. We clear coat them to protect from vandals and general weathering of the signs. I recently got some feedback that the DiBond isn't cutting it in some locations, and is...
  15. Help Me Find These Sign Bases

Yes, you get a bunch of online resellers peddling the same thing. I would prefer to buy from a more well known, perhaps wholesale signage/display source if possible.
  16. Help Me Find These Sign Bases

Does anybody know if there is a good wholesale vendor for the attached weighted sign bases? Been looking for a while but can only find this place. Doesn't have to be exact, but same style of mount.
  17. Font ID Please

What the Font was no help on this one. Seems easy enough. Can anybody help? Thanks! Ryan
  18. Post and Panel Redux

Sorry, Two separate faces on either side of the sign, so the post doesn't interrupt the message. I think we may have to upgrade this one to a metal pole, and cement it it. Ryan
  19. Post and Panel Redux

Hello, I have a client who is looking to update his post and panel sign. It was done years ago, and had been refaced last year but now it is time for a full revamp. Currently it is 2 sheets of 4' x 8' Alumalite w/pressure treated 4" x 4" posts, and he has mentioned that he may want to switch it...
  20. Installing Gatorboard to Walls

Thanks, that looks like a good method. I may go that route. I think one issue is that we are relying solely on VHB. I think there ought to be some epoxy in there somewhere.
