  1. Looking at a PrismJet 48 Extra

Thanks for the reply's. The printer isn't hooked up to a PC, so all I'll have to go by is the nozzle check, and the test pattern from the printer control. I told him the other roller was probably just a spare, so if the main one gets tired or something. It's going to be about a 150 mile ride...
  2. Looking at a PrismJet 48 Extra

I'm going tomorrow to look at a 48 inch PrismJet Extra. REAL reasonable. The guy said it's been sitting in the middle of his living room for 6 months. Said he does a test print about every two weeks, and they always look good. He will also do a test print while I'm there. What else should I look...
  3. Gorilla Glue Guilding

Thanks for all the insights on "turd gilding". Having used a good bit of GG on wood projects, I know going in what it will look like. I've just read about it, and wanted to try. That's why I wasn't willing to use my good leaf. Now in order to try it, I've got to stop by the hardware store and...

Thanks Jill. I think I'm going to try both ways, that's what experimentins all about.
  5. Gorilla Glue Guilding

I recently aquired some of the little gold leaf sheets from Thailand, that they sell on e-bay. 10 packs, 100 sheets in each pack, minus about 20 sheets in one. I swapped a 12 pack of Bud Select for em, which was a gift, and I don't like Bud. Now I've been wanting to try the gorilla glue...

  9. Adobe products

Well I was looking for a copy of Illustrator mostly. I'm a Corel user, but some AI files, whether they be imported or opened in CDR, just seem to act stupid. I thought maybe I could get a copy of AI, just for opening these files, and make life a little easier. My main point was these people...
  10. Adobe products

I've been looking for an older copy of Adobe Illustrator, mostly on E-bay. I want a real, legitimate copy that someone has up-graded and no longer needs. So, then I punched it in on Craigslist, just to see. WOW! It seems CL is slap full of Master Suites of all kinds, AI, PS, and everything...

  17. Contour cutting Phototex

Anyone have any experience contour cutting PhotoTex on a Roland print/cut machines? Be it solvent, or pigment. The reason I ask is, with all these new printers hitting the market, I figure someone is going to let go of a CJ machine pretty reasonable. And that's exactly what I want to do my...
