We recently screen printed on Bright Brushed Aluminum sheets. White first
then a 4 color. Then we let those cure 24hrs. Then we ran those sheets
through a laminater to apply transfer tape on top of them for protection during a laser cut process. but we found out that the Transfer tape pulls the...
Its physical. under the top hood on the print carriage. double switch on two circuit boards switch both off and back on again. wait about 2 min after turning back on before printing.
If that dosnt work then its proabably a low vac issue. Which means you have to clear out the lines with a syringe.
Then open the second hood where all the print heads are and watch the green blinking
lights inside in the back printhead chip boards they're stand vertical with 3 green lights a piece. make sure all 8 those lights are solid before printing again. Thats why on a jet out
you get 2 or 3 or more...
Yeah I didnt think about that. Problem was solved. Foil required 220 degrees to soften.
10 Lbs of pressure less than half speed. and it worked fine. thank goodness. Warping was caused to ustable climate out in shop before it got to laminating dept. So were good. Thanks Art!
If anyone has had any experience with Protect-All superbright PET Foil. Please
let me know. Its really sensitive thermal application. It looks really smooth
coming off the laminater but it keeps delaminating on me over time. We are applying this stuff on top of screen printed .080 PET Plastic...
The relief that is screenprinted on the back helps give the image a 3d look.
so printing everything on top of a mirror dosnt really work. Picture a raindrop with a relief build up and the laminated on top of that. makes it look like the raindrop has some depth to it.
I guess the only reason would be is cost. I don't know I'll ask LOL. But Labor
is the most expensive so it makes sense. Can you run that material through a Screen Print Press with UV lights?
Well I took all the pressure off of it. Looks pretty good. Now its just a matter of how well the mirror film will stick to the .080 I'll let it cure for 24 hrs and check it out.
I'm running an .080 PET plastic through a laminater at 210 degrees. Top and Bottom roller are heated up same temp. Which is the recommended temp.
On the top roller I have Mirror Film melting on to the .080 plastic. This gives it a nice mirror finish that shows through the screen printed image...
I have an unkown brand of UV ink printed on acrylic.
We painted a mathews silver metalic on top of it and its reacting to the ink. The ink seems to pop up or pinch up.
Does any one know what causes this and what I can do to fix it?
The machine decide to start working after 1 reboot. K-10 relay was burnt and was replaced. Lamps didnt stay on right away it took a while and then the lamps just decided to start working. This is one crazy printer.
