with-in our area each town has separate rules and regs. with-in those towns there are districts. (historical, waterfront, etc.) all with their own codes and regs. after a while you get to know these restrictions, when you see the customer and location to discuss there needs, we have a good idea...
we had used ben moore fresh start years ago. have been using j cooke *primer for some time, much better primer. you can finish the background in any latex color you wish. for your lettering you can finish the face of the letters with an oil base enamel and then cut vinyl color of your choice and...
not sure how big your letters are. you can pop rivet them, a little time consuming, but will work well. you will only need a few rivets on the straights, rounds will not be bad either. make a gig (post) the same height as the inside of the letter, work your way around the letter with your rivets...
wind chill important here too. air temp does not mean a thing if it is 10 degrees with a 30 mph wind. Gino have fun, we are just waiting our turn as well, just a little later on today. we will have coastal erosion issues, not good for us with 40-50 mph sustained winds with higher gust. snow is...
if you decide on using gemini for your letters have them supply you with a full scale layout. you can have them pounce the pattern or DIY. you can also have someone with a CNC router cut the letters for you, it you want a color, as jill mentioned *place vinyl on the sheet prior to having them...
we retro quite a few boxes, S/F as well as D/F. *the one thing to remember if you decide on the GE tetras, GE has a different output voltage on their LEDs,
24v whereas most other manufacturers are 12v. just be aware of this when servicing the LEDs as well as the power source takes place.
Terry, i do not see an awning in the photo. if you are talking about the aluminum false front next to the banner, you will have to put screws into the panel to secure it.
gentlemen, over the course of my own 40 years in this business i have seen to many really bad electrical installs. when neon was the only way to have a lit channel letter you had installs that were nothing but and were fire hazards.
for service, some electricians and sign guys would not know...
the first thing you need to do is find access to the backside(inside) of the wall. if it is not from a panel under the overhang, you have to look inside the building. if there are ceiling tiles near the front of the building, more than likely you will be able to gain access from above the tiles...
check with Pierce Aluminum they have operations throughout the east. google them. they have a distribution center in Ma. we have always gotten what we have needed from them
the tube supports from hart supply are alum. base with a glass support. they sell them as short or long. if you are not sure what length you need, buy the long ones and you can easily cut them down to the size you need using a pair of wire strippers. that is why they are grooved, so they can be cut
we have had ours for years and years. still use it a lot. cheez, I remember when we 1st got one, it put the swivel pounce wheel in the bottom drawer...it will last for years and years. * * *not much to it. simple design.
do you have access to the backside of the wall? if so all of you connections can be done on that side. mount the tube supports to the to the tile wall using plastic shields and screws. drill through the wall in the area where your GTO wire will be going through, hole diameter will be determined...
i know for a fact ALUPANEL (MULTIPANEL) does make a maroon panel.
the only problem is 1 side is gloss and 1 side is matt. i have gotten it in 5'x10'
sheets from my supplier. I believe there are 10 - 12 colors available. a few are not available in 4x8 sheets. 4'x10' sheets have the most colors if...
it looks like an old exallart cabinet. parts if needed may be available through
them. cab. style has not changed in years. Ben-Moore makes an impervo
metal/wood enamel that can be mixed in almost any color. check them out if you can.*
if they used 1'' square tube, they notched the tubing just enough to make the arc. *attached the alum face to the tube and set the sign inside the frame of the cabinet, then attached the the sign to the cabinet on the top and bottom
