    If you can run it through your printer, you can print on it. 99% of the time this is true. The only problems you'll have are, image quality, and longevity of the print.

    If you have some money to spend, -and- you do enough of this. Look for an Alluminum Siding Bander/Brake ... they range from $800 to $2000 depending upon what you get, but it literally takes no time at all to measure, square, score, bend/brake .... It's used a lot with companies that do metal...

    So many people worry about the adverse affects on their machines. I'd be more worried about the end product warranty. I know 3M won't stand behind a graphic that used 3rd party inks, nor would I expect them to. The value of my work in my customer's hands far out weighs the value of my printer.

    3M 3690 Not made for Piezo ink jet printers, but I've found it still works alright, and sticks to anything plastic-ish.

    Your vinyl manufactures may not warrenty the prints you create if you use 3rd party inks.... Sometimes the cost savings don't really add up.

    It's not anything like that. I can tell our well known customers we're 3M certified and I can guarantee you they don't care, or know what it means. Now to our customers that request a 3M certified installation, it's invaluable, since we wouldn't have that work. With that said, nobody has walked...
