The other problem may be the head height. On certain medias, having the head too high will cause drop-outs.

The first trick is to get the printer up off the floor. I cut up a plastic pallet so that the pieces fit neatly between the wheels on each leg. That lifts the printer up 100mm from the floor so I don't have to roll around on the floor anymore to attach the new core and set it up. Honestly...

I suspect that for some reason the media feed rate has altered on the printer. It can be something as simple as something dragging on the feed roll or takeup roll. If the width of the print is correct then some investigation of the feed rate of both the machine and the rip is a good place to start.

Consistently the worst payer I've ever had is Coca-Cola. They know what our terms are, they agree to them and then drag out payments for months after that. Now then send me requests for quote and I just email back NO. I don't need their work and it just drives them nuts.

Have used both, now standardised on Print Factory. Great print page layout capabilities and frequent improvements at no charge with the "software as a service" model. Easy and accurate for creating profiles.

We are fully colour managed and cut our own profiles in house. We know from our measurements that the four colour CMYK of our S60600 makes our six colour Roland XR-640 look sad. Not even on the same planet. The Epson is the perfect beast.
