  2. Need Help Can you clean Foamcore?

I thought I would revive this post to add an answer for people looking for a way to clean paper faced substrates such as foam/gator board. Two things work quite well, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser(Melamine foam) and fine grit sandpaper. No special technique. Just use as normal. I have saved countless...

  4. Summa S2T160 media feed issue

Hello all. Been using a near brand new Summa S2T160 to replace our old Graphtec cutter. Most often we use this machine to kiss cut stickers, decals and labels on 54" vinyl (usually laminated) and follow up with flexcutting so that panels of product can be broken down by hand. I've experienced...

  8. Heat Gun Hip/Belt Holster

Tugging at your waist? As opposed to pulling the tool down off the ladder? The cord tension can be mitigated if there is a stable place for the gun to be in. I can wrap it strategically to keep it out of the way and relieve any tension. This is not rocket surgery.
  9. Heat Gun Hip/Belt Holster

Thank you for the info. I will def look into it. So, without a holster you burn yourself yet with no experience with a holster you assume it will be worse? Seems like an odd conclusion.
  10. Heat Gun Hip/Belt Holster

It takes time to warm up the gun. Time is money.
  11. Heat Gun Hip/Belt Holster

You said it would potentially cause 2nd/3rd degree burns. That was where my contention was. That happened with a previous employee who(obviously) had no holster. He put it on the ladder shelf, the cord pulled it off, and instead of letting it fall(as I would have) he tried to save it and ended...
  12. How to clean a flatbed belt with overprint

I was told by an HP tech that anything harder than polystyrene can damage the belt. I do not know if that is legit info, but something to consider before using metal on it.
  13. Applying Window Cling To 18oz Banner

I am calling it "lamination" because I am running it through the laminator. "Mounting" is probably the better term, but since the Gudi is normally applied in the same manner as laminate, I call it "lamination". Sorry if I am using confusing terminology. Anyways, this thread is great. I am going...
