Here is what I am doing, and I am trying to find the best solution.
The Decal is red, with a clear box, and a white graphic on top of the red. Printed on clear vinyl with Abrasion guard.
What I want to do: Back the entire red decal with white leaving clear box clear. Then print the red...
Thank you for all the replies. I contacted a couple of the businesses mentioned and had no luck with the color I needed. That is the only problem I have found with places that sell by the yard most of the popular colors they have available to sell by the yard, but some of the weird colors you...
Does anyone know a good source who sells vinyl by the yard? I need a very small amount of a couple colors I probably won't use again. I am looking for Oracal or if I have to avery. Thanks.
Sorry the question probably could have been worded differently. I guess what I am asking if I laminate with a matte vinyl laminate will it look the same as if I laminate with the matte foil laminate?
Sorry for the confusion and thank you for the replies.
When applying the matte clear foil finish over the top of lets say a gloss black vinyl, will it give it a matte or satin finish to the entire decal? Sorry this may be a obvious question just want to see how this has worked for you guys. I know I could use a satin laminate but I need these...
I know Gerber states FX prints will last 3 to 5 years outdoors, but is this realistic? I have heard some say 2 to 3 years with no lam or abrasion guard and let say I add the AG can I tell my customers to expect 5 years. Just want to relay accurate real world information.
I have been tooling around with the software/printer and was wondering if there are any tricks to printing small details. In particular I was printing some thin black lines (around a 1/16") on Oracal metallic silver vinyl and it almost looked like the foil was not sticking completely. I then...
Pat, that was the first thing I did. Most of the threads referred to the roland 60 or 600 and to the edge models. I was looking for info regarding the foils for the FX in particular. I will go back and see if I can get some more info.
How do these perform? I was amazed by the price difference from the gerber brand especially the metallic gold and silver. Will these work with the gerber caddies? any other info I should look into or be prepared for if I make the switch?
With everything I have done so far with my FX I realized this does occur with colored vinyls. I guess what I am asking is in Omega lets say I am setting up some graphics with a blue vinyl selected when I place a red foil fill on top should my screen display that purple color, or will the screen...
To start off I have version 3.0. I was told that when changing your vinyl color your foil color will also change slightly. In other words lets say you have a square with a spot color red fill, and you change the vinyl from white to blue. Will that square go from a red to a somewhat purple red...
Just wondering if any of you have some insight on how to price your work? I listed this question here because I am talking about Edge/FX prints only. I am not looking for specific examples like how much should I charge for a bumper sticker, and I know the theory whatever I can sell my stuff for...
Thanks I will try those suggestions. I knew before getting the FX that there were pitfalls to process printing but time to time I want to get a little better out put if possible on some smaller items.
Just wondering if anyone has any tricks or tips to improving output for process printing. Other than just changing the DPI is there additional settings that can be changed? I know you are going to "pixeling" because of the way the printer works just wondering if there is anything else to try? I...
