  1. beginners luck?9-12 vehicle wraps quote

My guess is that the customer just wants the whole order INVOICED before year's end.
  2. laminator

The problems that Cmax is having may be due to operator error... but we had only a VERY brief lesson on our Seal and it was from the installer who had very little experience actually using the machine. I'm not going to say that we never messed anything up, but we certainly didn't throw away $2k...
  3. Keep off my property!!!

DAC referenced by a mohawk wearin' sign guy. Gotta love it.
  4. Should you fire this employee?

It's not your responsibility to care for his kids. He should have been doing that on a long term basis rather than a short term one. He chose to conduct himself in a way that he knew could jeaprodize his employment just to put a band-aid on the situation. You can't trust him and never will...
  5. Keep off my property!!!

9mm? I hope I never have to shoot anybody, but if I do I'd like to do more than just piss 'em off! Get some more caliber Mosh!
  6. fellers platinum packages

2 years ago I was in your shoes. I too had an established business that I wanted to expand. You seem to have the customer base, work ethic and experience to make this a success. I researched the equipment first and then the distributors. I determined that the Mutoh and Graphtec were going to fit...
  7. 8x24 car wash sign

Yea, that's how we did it. We printed the panels with a 1" bleed. Application started with one of the middle panels and worked from there out with just 2 panels up on the table at a time. It only took 2 of us an hour or so to apply. There was an existing 6'x24' frame made of 1"x1" aluminum...
  8. 8x24 car wash sign

Yes, six 4x8 panels and we laid the vinyl in our shop.
  9. Keep the Digs Coming

We did one with Oracal 3951RA & 290G laminate. It was a b***h. The customer is re-branding and we will be removing the old wrap after the first of the year and applying a new one. This time I will definitely use 3M and may try the IJ380.
  10. reflective wrap material

We use the Nikkalite all the time for other applications and it's great stuff. I have to say I think it would be very difficult to wrap contours with. I haven't used it, but the 3M sounds like the best route for such a project due to the air egress (and most 3M stuff is very repositionable).
  11. A few recent jobs

I'd like to see the photos of the scaffold around the cross with out the zoom on. I'm thinkin' there's no check big enough to get me to the top of that contraption.
  12. 8x24 car wash sign

onesource: I agree it's a bit crowded (especially the top left because the "Best Value" was added at the last minute), but the customer wanted all of this info and it had to be this big to be legible from the end of the line... so it got crowded. Funny you guys would think the price is...
  13. 8x24 car wash sign

We installed this today. Printed & laminated with Oracal on our Mutoh.
  14. Digitally Printed Awning

Yes, it's back lit. What durability can I expect with that? Do you apply anything to protect the print?
  15. Digitally Printed Awning

I have a customer who has an existing awning. It's currently yellow with red vinyl letters. We've upgraded the look of everything he has to a custom designed digital print and now he wants to do the awning to match. Its on 3 sides of the building and is roughly 30"x130'. The framework is...
  16. ranger

Nice! How'd they get a Powerstroke in a Ranger?
  17. laminator

Yea I know what ya meant, there are a ton of 'em.
  18. laminator

LOL. Using it is the part I haven't gotten comfy with yet.
  19. laminator

Yea it doesn't shift at all. If you have your print and lam lined up tight on the rolls and get it all set up nice and straight, it rolls straight. We had basically zero training on this and had never done it before. There was a learning curve at first, but we got it down now.
  20. rear bumper

I take it back... kinda. I'm sure it will look much better and in the end I'll be glad I did it, but I just took the rear bumper off my 08 Silverado. PITA!:banghead:
