After 547 clicks (with some doubles) for calibrating the color swatch I got a new custom profile with inside flexi done. Ran out of black ink so could not test the new profile. :-( One profile is 1 hour work in total, sanning the 547 colored blocks one by one (3 seconds each) is the most time...
Just hooked the color savvy on the PC again and I could calibrate it so there is connection now. :banghead:
When reading the manual for profiling I stumbled on things that are not mentioned or unclear.
If you are going to print test swatches later should you still use a color profile or...
Hmmm.
Do not know if media and ink will differ so much to share profiles but who knows :-)
Nice PDF for the profiling. Thansk for sharing the link.
I found out that last week at our office we have the COLOR SAVVY CM2C unit which is mentioned in the drop down menu but it works on a...
Chorca,
I am having the same problem with Flexi 8.1v1.
I like to print carbon but the magenta is all over the place.
When I turn down magenta in Lineratization and in Adjustments it gets better but then white lines appear in the print as if there is banding.
If you look in the FLexi thread you...
Hi,
Using Onyx ripcenter 6.5 to drive a Mutoh RH38.
Using one of the prefab colorprofiles the colors are 99% OK but the carbon look I print has to much magenta. The grey scale printing is off with magenta tinting overall in the grey. But there is no way in this RIP I can change the colors for...
Cant find any information about a version number that is integrated in a icc. or icm profile.
So how do find out it is the profile that does not work?
Am I missing something.
Anyone willing to see if the icm files I created will work in a later version of flexi 8.5 or 10 just to make sure I...
Screen shot from Flexi 8

The problem is I now do not know anymore when I use the standard setting of 5 mm that the machine accept this value as new standard or that this 5 mm is subtracted from the previous setting which is validated when the adjustment print is done.
So this is how it works?
I select CW uni LOW...
Chorca,
As I described I was busy in diagnostics to enhance the print quality until I reached the CW Bi directional setting until I found it did not listen to the values and came to the uni directional settings which worked nicely.
The adjustment prints went fine and the CYMK blocks nicely...
Found the solution for the adjustment but also got a headage afterwards!!!!!!!!!
In Bi directional settings in diagnostics it would not change at all regardless the numbers I put in + or-.
When I by accident went through the menu to unit directional adjustment it suddenly listen to the input...
Try to save the contour layer as a file in EPS format.
Open Summa winplot (free download) and import the contour EPS file and run the contour without knife and see what happens.

I wanted to adjust the heads to better quality.
Got them all aligned but when I do the CW adjustments for normal and micro dots it does not change even if I go + or - gapvalue.
The regular test print however is OK.
What do I wrong.
I know it worked the previous time I changed the color head...
So the sensor test in diagnostics says the XF sensor is ON constant?
Just cover it by hand and see if the display goes to OFF.
It is now evening and I only have a small light bulb in the room.
I just test this fucntion.
When the top cover is open it makes the sensor go to ON.
When I close the...
I had that problem too while doing diagnostics it is the front sensor who is clearly affected by light in the room.
Randya said to reduce the light in he room or put the cover over the machine which you usually keep upwards :-) when you do test like this.
Also make sure you first put media...
Put your question in the MUTOH forum further down below.
10 to 1 the problem will be solved.
No problem if you ask as new bie.
We still learn every day even so called pro's.

For those who run into he same prboblem
Got the problem again of the dark start.
Checked the wiper and again the wiper was stuck. :-(
Removed the maintenance station and took out the purge unit with wiper.
The sliderpart where the wiper is attached on should move easily.
In my case it...
