Thanks buddy! i greased the tracking up GAC stated too and used fishing reel oil on the tension bearings, between the two it seemed to take care of the noise, it wasnt bad to the point i was like OMG my printer is gonna blow out or something but i do "hear" things all the time, lol

By clean i mean no ink, gunk or dust its slightly greased but it prob could use a little more, any recommendations on grease i can pick at a hardware store?

Hello folks, I have a carriage noise when my Mutoh VJ1324 is printing. It started about 8 inchs into a print. The print Quality has not been lost. I suspect it may be a bearing... but when i do a media cut or load media it do not hear it....But when go to CR maintenance i do hear it as it goes...

Is there any speed advantage to Ripping to a SSD. I use Flex 12 and sometimes Sign Lab 9. I have an extra 128 GB SSD drive sitting around thinking about just dedicating it to ripping. Thanks, Roger

are you running the correct profile. It could be media feed too, but your profile also controls the feed of the media and can cause banding. Have you tried another media type?

call me old school but i would cut that in translucent vinyl as well.

you cant cut with a VJ1204 or any of the Value Jets, You need a stand alone plotter, like a graptech....needs to have opitcal eye 7000 series or newer i beleive. You also need software that supports print and cut. you can use the Cut Master 2 plug in for illustrator to set up files....repeats...

I think you'll need to convert the fade to raster before saving it out to print, then you wont have that issue.

the liner sucks to peel, off...be very careful... I used Conform R hi-tack. That frosted crystal hates pre-mask...... If you cut too deep this also doesn't help. For install, I use wet application method. I pre-mask only the knockout. scrap clean the window, soak the window, peel the film up...
