For applications where I require maximum adhesion I use 3M SCPS-53X. Very sticky.

Feels like the culprit is windows. Try deleting the versaworks registry keys in regedit (after you make a backup).

You have created a corrupt file, easy to do if you use a bad font, made something to big or told corel to do something else that consumed all your ram. Import into a new file and save then delete your old file.

Thank you for the clarification, any problems I had with Rapid Tac 2, was in hot weather. Rapid Remover is great I just don't love it as much after years of breathing in the fumes.
