pete, I was thinking of Dan Ramm's booth..... Tyrrell Tech and then over to Rick's @ Typestries and then Koval's, maybe around noon-ish. We might as well ruin it for them all and make a big scene at all of them. I'm bringing Bushmill. Can't handle beer.

I just got back and I thought it was fair. Went to one of Grandpa Dan's seminars, so that was cool!
Not a huge show, but ended up with some excellent sources and ideas for things, so worth it for us.
Also met Rick with Typestries (I probably spelled it wrong, but I'm fried from sitting in DC traffic). Really nice guy and had a short chat with him and he helped us know a little more about how to specify certain things better when ordering from them, which was most helpful.

Show is small, but well balanced. For the average shop it's still an informative show to go to. Heck, just finding my neighbor as a source would be worth the trip, cost and effort to almost every S101 member.
What I find totally distasteful, that you should ALL know about is the NBM Show (Sign Business Magazine) folks canvassing the exhibitors selling their NEW show in Philadelphia, which is conveniently scheduled in 2012 just before the USSC show. I'm all for fair competition, but attack your FOR PROFIT competitors, not the association that benefits our entire industry in so many ways. For sure the USSC needs to modernize a bit, but regardless, NBM is acting totally in poor taste and it should be noted just how much they "serve" our industry!

Had a minor mishap last night. My wife hurt her back rather bad and we were set to go to emergency last night, but I got a hold of the doctor and she said, not to go, that they wouldn't be able to help her. Have to take her in at 2:30 today.
