Christmas Festival logo help

So....I get the joy of designing a free logo for my hometown Christmas event and I'm just not feeling it. The logo is going to have to be used for the car show, beauty pageant, tree lighting, bridge lighting, boat parade, street parade, street party, water skiing Santa Claus, art show, quilt show, baby kissing, petting zoo, gingerbread house building and anything else somebody can come up with (it's a committee of thousands)

The idea is to come up with a basic format that can just be updated every year. Here's what about 8 hours of sketching and computer time has gotten me...like I said, I'm just not feeling it.

Yes, the blue ball idea is rip off of the White Christmas musical logo.

Any thoughts? I'm not asking somebody to redesign a logo for me, just looking for some ideas to get me in the mood to deal with it.

The first one and last one look the same to me except the lack of an outline around the 'O'. Other than that, I like those two [one] so far.

First and last are the same. I'd delete the first one but then people would get confused and think you were drunk and the whole thing would digress into a discussion about adding ladders and doing freebie work so I'll just leave it.

There was also this one that I sent the mayor when I was trying to get out of doing this project.

he is correct. the last one doesn't have a white outline on the O

for a freebie, I'd say run with the first one

Well, with that one....... ya better make sure everyone knows what the Coosa is, cause that could start to sound...... and look, like something else.

Second one...if you made the red a maroon and the blue more navy and the white creamier.
(that sounds gross)
But in other words, antique it a little bit.

The outline is wonky by the H in Christmas.
Maybe try the dreaded Old English on the word Christmas.

Go with the one for the Mayor and be done with it. You will offend enough of the "Committee" that maybe they wont' ask you to do "Free" work again.

my first impressions are that they are too cold and lifeless.
maybe reverse the read and white to help warm it up a bit...
maybe some sort of wreath treatment...
ten minutes worth of adjustment

Those are good! I'm not going to even bother tossing one into the ring. Nice work guys.

I will make one minor suggestion however... for the red circle that reads On The. use a ball ornament with the silver thing on top like this.

The Coosa River runs through downtown....anybody in central Alabama knows it's a river. You're just a pervert.
