Correct on the ribbon positions now. However, the power issue obviously needs to be fixed first. This is starting to get into electronics technician level troubleshooting with a multimeter and possibly an oscilloscope and the ability to read schematics. You may want to consider reaching out to Damon, as I understand he has the ability to troubleshoot the mainboard beyond the output transistors. There can be multiple reasons for the power not coming on, but it starts with a signal from the control panel to the mainboard. As the last issue was issues with the printhead which is also connected to the mainboard, in my opinion, that's where to start. It's possible whatever was causing the printhead to print strangely finally went out and won't let the printer power up.
