Historic District Signs

We did two of these carved HDU with acrylic poly background and letters, PVC gold leaf ship symbol, pvc painted dedication ribbon, gold leaf routed border, copper wrap, 6"x6", PT post with 5/4", PT skirt boards, gilded carved pineapple finial (purchased), stamped metal star with copper paint. I really appreciated the woman who donated the signs taking my suggestion to do the carved letters in white instead of gold leaf, and just use the leaf for accents

wow, that is nice! love the copper wrap and the details like the star and pineapple. great idea using the gold leaf as accents rather than the main copy. hope you enter the signs in the "Sing of the Times" yearly contest as these are real winners for sure

Thanks for the good words. This was a bit of a project of the heart, this was my grandfather's neighborhood, where my dad grew up, so I really tried to make it a special job. It was also a job where I was given a bit of free reign on the details. It was was also the first of this type of high end job in a while so we were ready to put out our best.
