How's your weather?

DL Signs

Never go against the family
We're not sending installers out to work in these conditions, I'm caught up, so we all figured we might as well just take a long weekend. But, being the good little brother I am, I took my sister to a doctor appointment this morning. My face hurt and fingers froze as I went out the door, I think the car actually growled at me for disturbing it's slumber, when I released the clutch I swear I heard it scream in pain. So I say to myself, "self, just how damn cold is it?". Car thermometer said -27, but what about that wind chill? I should have stayed ignorant... We'll be kinda like this til Sunday when the heat wave hits, the actual high temp is supposed to peek above zero, and real feel temps maybe in the teens below zero.

What's it like in your area? All our southern friends staying warm?

It's cold over here in the INW, but not THAT cold. I think it was 19 this morning. It's sunny though, a nice reprieve from a week of fog and clouds.

Everyone in those frigid temps stay safe and warm!

Fine right now, supposed to come in the morning. In the process of getting all the generators ready to go. Getting multiple backups of water tanks filled up and ready. Getting all the chickens and horses settled in (that's going to be vicious if they have to be cooped up for too long (see what I did there?)).

Arkansans don't understand true cold like you guys get, so we hit anything below freezing, our 'feels like' instantly hits -15. At one point they were calling for 21" of snow. Guys, if AR gets over a foot, casualties will be between 10 and 20%. I doubt we'll get that, but we are not prepared for anything of the sort.

we took the day off entirely here in SE Wisconsin.
-10 with -30 windchill is dangerous weather to be unnecessarily out n' about

Let me tell ya -- installing multiple banners from ladders sucked azz today. lol

Cold but not as much snow as predicted yet. 2 degrees overnight, 5 as I drove to the shop. About half an inch of snow so far.
