Looks like the asterisk from whatever font is to the right of it. Try that first

Although I could see myself overlooking that, the asterisk is not the same.
The reason why I thought it was a symbol of some sort it because I could
swear I see it on 70's era designs. I thought it may just be a dingbat or
something. I will continue to search!

Shovel... how can you tell that is Trump Mediaeval from just that one letter? Does not look like Trump to me and could probably be any number of serif fonts. Without seeing the serif detail, I say this one cannot be ID'd from one letter, especially on a letter that is not unique
We should start a new contest... name that font, one letter only.
