Logo - Design Block

I have a major case of design block with this logo. I just can't figure out where to go with it. I would like to get some suggestion to try out in hopes it sparks up some creativity. The logo needs to have a mountain and a wave. Thanks for the help.

Im no expert but if you didnt tell me it was a mountain and a wave I wouldnt have a clue what they were..... :/

I don't see a wave, the lock is clever, but it doesn't fit.

I also think you need to make the 'Self Storage' part a little bigger.

Move the lock to the last a in Sandia, everyone knows the word Sandia out there so it
will still read correctly, now the Park could read Pork.
I agree with making self storage a little bigger & stronger.
I can see why that want the mountain, but why a wave? For the river? I think it's fine with just the mountain.

I like the second one, the mountain looks better.

I agree there is something off about the lock but I think it's a good idea. Maybe Bill's suggestion about moving it, or what if it stood straighter?

Also +1 to self storage more prominent.

Still looks outta place. Changing up the weight of the ascender of the 'a' just doesn't seem to fit. Ya already have a mountain back there..... why do you need another gimmick ??

To riff on this, lose the frame and the mountain / wave elements. Keep "Sandia Park" all caps, and then make the first A in Sandia a mountain peak, and use the counter in the A in Park to make the shape of a wave.

Tricky, but it might work if you post off the right font.

If the top of the lock was a bit thicker like the "a" think it would work.

I'm thinking get rid of the mountain as it isn't needed. keep the lock. is this for a sign only? if so the smaller self storage is OK as they can see what the business is as those places pretty much all look the same. if it is for an ad, a little larger self storage.

Maybe drop the "lock idea" and make the top of the "r" in Park, a cresting wave?

I'd lose the mountain, as it reminds me of that car silhouette that lots of places use in their logo.
I'd make the second a the lock, so it's more centered.
