I've been designing for sign a company for the last 6 months, but been in graphic design for 7 years.

I hope to learn more about the sign industry

It is not pleasant to look at.
I'm wondering why anyone ( or any business), would present themself this way?

On my avatar, you are looking at a licensed photograph, to be correct.
Waiting to hear other opinions of your offering..
BTW..you're off to a bad start here..
Cheers!

My concern here..

This "artists" image..the avatar.. denegrates the image of women. It's not much different than pornography. Would you like your woman or the females in your family to be portrayed in this way? And he/she/it..wont even sign a name to this post.
So, I have trouble with accepting images like this.
I'm not having a bad day..I'm real.
Not hiding.

Got to agree. Very offensive to our female members. Don't start out on the wrong foot. Good design, but good don't make it right. Welcome to your first ass woopin'.

Welcome.
As the first female to chime in, the only thing that bugs me about your design (besides the colors and the computery/pixillated look, altho that may have been on purpose)
Is that thing that looks like a dirty old mop string wrapped around her tongue!
Ptuie!
Makes me want to gargle with Scope.
But I respect you for posting something of your own design straight away.
I am all for sexy female art, as long as it has taste and even a bit of humor.
Love.....Jill

Wow welcome. I have no problem with your avatar, it is not my style but I can appreciate the uniqueness, I dont find it degrading to women maybe that is just your personal interpretation????...on the other hand I would agree that the guy in the glass house's avatar is hilarious especially since it is his logo..

way to welcome a new guy who is actually in the industry, the only one who is off to a bad start in this thread is Ken...get a life

Have to defend Ken here (just a little though)....common sense would tell you not
to have an avatar like that right off the bat......
although I wouldn't say it's anywhere near pornographic.
It's like meeting a girl's parental units for the first time....would you dress somewhat decent or show up with no shirt on??
Common sense...street smarts.

Am I seeing the same avatar as the rest of you? Would somebody please explain to me just what is so objectionable about it. Feeling a little dense this morning.

welcome, and please ignore the politically correct nonsense.

I think you avatar is your business. Thats why they are made anyway.

NExt thing they will complain about is the what someones' tag lines says.. I think I am starting to hate some of this immature sniping and grandstanding.
