RF640 Freezing

Hello,

One on my Roland RF 640, is freezing. Stop printing, even in sleep mode, impossible to shutdown with power button. I had to switch off, wait 15 seconds and switch on.
It's totally random, I could print 5 minuts, 5 hours, or 10 seconds.

Any Ideas ?
Thank's !

What message comes on the screen if any?
Sounds like a stuck key on the panel. Wiggle all of them of remove the top piece.
Keys can be checked in Service Mode.
Hello,

Keys have been checked, it's OK.

There is no message, just freeze, in sleeping mode Power button stays blue, or during printing Now Processing…

Power off printer at the Main Power switch in the rear.
Then press and hold the panel power button for 30 seconds.
Power back on at Main Switch, then panel switch.

just a blind guess.
are all the fans spinning (and clean?)
my first thought was fan failure> circuit board flexes> intermittent connection on system board
might not be a bad idea to power down. unplug. wait 1 minutes then reseat all the plugs on circuit boards carefully

my advice is general, not geared to your particular model, but, 40 years experience as a tech...

that would certainly be my guess

i am just saying i have worked on ROLAND PRINTERS for 40 years.
i am not familiar if there is a particular problem peculiar to your printer model.
others on the site will probably have your exact machine & have an additional suggestion
