Ok. Need a gloss self-adhesive vinyl with a 96# or heavier liner. GF has a matte with a 96# and a 108# liner but will not for any reason consider manufacturing even a sample of the gloss version unless I buy 17+ rolls.
I know, I know.....why does anyone need a liner heavier than 90#. Well I...
I wouldn't buy a maintenance station from anyone other than a reputable Mutoh dealer. You will regret it in the long run. I bought about three of them and they didn't last nearly as long as the ones from Mutoh and I was constantly taking them apart and fixing things here and there.
5-10 minutes max. If it takes longer and you don't hear the maintenance station working then either one or more of the other subtanks are completely full.
There is a trick to filling only one of the subtanks. Turn the printer off and restart and go into the maintenance menu (when you see the...
Make sure you pull the maintenance station apart very carefully and take pics as you go so you have a better chance at getting it back together correctly. I have pulled them a part probably 30 times over and can do it in my sleep but the first couple of times I did it I made some mistakes that...
With that much ink residue on the maintenance station it looks like you may have a broken ink tube inside the pump. That would explain the ink not pulling through the lines. You can either replace the entire maintenance station or just the tubing which would require you to dissasemble the pump...
I wouldn't if I were you....:). The time and money (in flush and spent ink) it would take the flush out the other color would cost more then is necessary.
Sounds more like an air leak somewhere. These occur mostly with the dampers. Sometimes it's as simple as the o-ring between the damper and...
Your magenta subtank is very low. To fill it go into the maintenance menu (power on and as soon as you see the printer model appear on the screen push the up, right and down keys simultaneously until you get into what some people call the "hidden menu"). One of your options will be named "Ink...
STS Ink (stsinks.com) has great ink. We are very happy with them. We switched all of our printers (5 Mutoh's - but know of several using their Mimaki ink) over to STS inks several years ago and couldn't be happier.
We had a similar issue a few months ago with most of our flexible magnet. I think thats what it came down to. Most of the issues though were with people who rarely or never washed their cars and if they did they did not remove the magnet when doing so.
If it has been sitting for 3 years then there is definitely no way to get the head back. Prices on the DX5 print heads have been going up lately (now close to $3k). I would steer clear of the 3rd party heads. Although I have had great luck with some overall they are a waste of money. Find a...
