You are right. I'm definitely not a wood worker. But I figure the track saw will be more versatile for what I plan doing. Plus it doesn't take huge space in the shop. I think I will go with the track saw and upgrade to a panel saw later if needed to.

I assume you have a Makita track saw? In their specifications, it says you must have their a specific saw for it.

My cutter is a summa D160R and I'm using the winplot software and illustrator. It seems doable, but with the premask, the material is very rigid and I think the cutter will not be able to cut the premask and the liner.
