Some good info here. How are you guys evaluating your employees to make sure the pay increase isn't just to cover inflation and is more based on performance? That's something I need to work on soon.
For vehicles we'll only use 3M IJ180cv3 + 3M 8418G. (Even for smaller shape cut graphics)
3M 40C is good for wall wraps, but we don't use it for anything else.
3M 8509..................I don't like it or use it.
I think it's a combination of a few things that's causing this issues, as...
Normally I'd tend to agree BUT......................... we use 3M 40C + Avery 2080 matte for all our interior wall wraps and haven't had any failures/issues. Just about to run a couple rolls worth tomorrow.
Printed w/ UV so it doesn't shrink like heavy coverage solvent prints.
We've built some pretty funky structures over the years, but I can't say we've ever made 4x4 cubes.
What's the intended application/lifespan?
If it's for a temporary event and not going to handled/touched much, you could use 1/2" gator foam and cut the edges w/ a 45 bit/saw, and add internal...

I feel your frustration, I've been in same boat with equipment before and hearing the old "we haven't come across this before" bit is never helpful. I'd be really curious to hear if there are other members here with your same inkset successfully printing and installing wraps. (I know that...
Yeah the 3 invoice and different copies sorted different ways seems crazy & redundant.
For a majority of our customers w/ payment terms:
Customer is emailed that their order is ready. Invoice is emailed to their A/P department.
We print 1 copy of invoice, gets filed with all job-related...
Yikes, not what you want to see when installing graphics. I would honestly suggest checking out Onyx or if you're otherwise happy with Rasterlink, see if you're able to create/use custom profiles within that workflow.
I would really think that reducing ink limits would help with the vinyl...
