  1. I cleaned my machine, what do I have here…

Either your feed or scan needs to be aligned/calibrated. What kind of printer are you talking about here? I don't see it mentioned anywhere.
  2. UV ink and vehicle wraps

We have a UCJV w/ LUS-170 inks, and we've done a few flat wraps (cube vans, food trucks) successfully over the years. I believe we used MPI 1105 w/ 1360z. The silvering (like with any laminate on UV ink) does go away over time, especially after being exposed to sunlight. Are you using...
  3. Just got the Roland Tru VIS MG UV, considering air scrubber for smell does it work?

Interesting set up. Sounds like it worked much better than ours, will get a pic when I'm in the shop. Corroded everything to crap and just shorted itself out. This was our 2nd unit and I don't think we'll make the same mistake...thrice.
  4. Just got the Roland Tru VIS MG UV, considering air scrubber for smell does it work?

Do you have more info on the waterfall humidifier part? We have an inline steam humidifier hooked up to our hvac but we only get about 2 years out of them before they die. I bought a $250 humidifier from Amazon and it surprisingly does an amazing job in our 2,500 sqft production area, but...
  5. Questions for making stickers.

Welcome to the wonderful world of roll to roll printing! I remember getting our first roll printer and not having any idea what to use. We started off with Oracal calendered vinyls and laminates and quickly learned how lousy they are when it comes to shrinking and curling. 10+ years later...
  6. What's wrong with this poster...................................................................... ??

The tail on the "Q" is going the wrong way? Everything else looks great.
  7. ECUT FOR AI PROBLEMS

Did you try contacting the developer? I seem to remember emailing them a while back and they were pretty responsive.
  8. How do you store / organize your overs?

That's what I'd like to move to. Have a laminated and unlaminated swatch of their critical colors with all print settings/color adjustments notes etc.
  9. How do you store / organize your overs?

Okay so here's another angle, I like to keep samples/extras for 2 reasons: 1. Regular/reorder parts. Some decals/kits take hours to print then need at least a day to off-gas and finish. Having some repeat/re-order parts in stock can turn a 3 day turnaround to a 1 day turnaround for our good...
  10. Secondary Market for Material

I'm no admin, but the way I see it you can inquire all you want, but if you want to actually sell said material on this site you would need a premium membership?
  11. My new Roland UV needs 60 degrees? Will 50 suffice?

If they say you need 60, then I'd say you need 60. Why try to kill a brand new printer? Do none of these dealers even consider pre-installation inspections or at the very least discussing operating environments with customers before throwing units in walk in freezers? Geez.
  12. Don't know how to appraoch this..........................................................

I think the biggest thing will be the media quickly warming up from the heaters, it's likely to buckle and potentially cause head strikes. No idea of the viscosity of the ink at that temperature...but I would imagine it wouldn't be ideal for the heads. Are you able to add a heater to the...
  13. How do you store / organize your overs?

We have a few random areas for extras/samples etc. I'll take pics next time I'm in the shop. Some architectural/drawing filing cabinets and other different filing cabinets.
  14. How do you store / organize your overs?

What's that white Scotch machine in your picture?
  15. Rant Summa GoProduce or Onyx Cutserver adding thousands of nodes??

The cut files generated by Onyx / CutServer are .OXF format.
  16. Rant Summa GoProduce or Onyx Cutserver adding thousands of nodes??

Thanks Christian, hadn't dug that deep in quickset advanced settings before. I've attached a screenshot of our settings - should this be checked then? (It appears this way on all our quicksets for all our printers) The weird thing is we've been running jobs through this quickset / workflow...
  17. Rant Summa GoProduce or Onyx Cutserver adding thousands of nodes??

Also very interesting, thanks. I believe we're using a single flute UC bit but I'll have to check. I wish I had time and energy to learn more about routing, it's just been a frustrating "get it done" journey since we got this thing and I find myself cursing it every time we need to...
  18. Rant Summa GoProduce or Onyx Cutserver adding thousands of nodes??

Interesting. I have no idea but I will check. Where would this be found? Why would someone wish this setting on anyone? (Pardon the drama, been a long, frustrating day)
  19. Rant Summa GoProduce or Onyx Cutserver adding thousands of nodes??

Count yourself lucky, it's pretty painful to use. It lets us have 10 jobs open at once though, yay! That's 10 files that it can destroy and 10 pieces of material that we can add to the dumpster. So many bugs it's not even funny. As soon as you've selected your material and spent a few...
  20. What material is this?

I don't know anything about gold leaf etc, but bonus points if you use one of these products....... https://nekoosa.com/products/vinylefx
