  1. Rant Summa GoProduce or Onyx Cutserver adding thousands of nodes??

Long story short - I've just discovered that files that pass through Onyx/CutServer and are sent to our Summa F1612 / GoProduce are being ruined by adding thousands of nodes where they don't belong. Am I missing a setting in Onyx that says "please ruin my cut files and turn 4 points into 500"...
  2. Summa GoSign - dropping lower case "i" in designs

Don't get me started on gremlins today!!
  3. Summa GoSign - dropping lower case "i" in designs

Well there you have it folks! I hope they at least fixed the issue in the latest version?
  4. Replicate existing dimensional letters - CURIOUS

What's happening with those studs and spacers? Looks like a bit of a hodge-podge install to me. Personally I'd sell them a new set of cast aluminum letters from Gemini. I guess one downside of doing all new is that you'll be left with a bunch of holes everywhere from those studs. The...

Have you tried Express Sign Products?
  6. Full color graphics applied to Dry Erase Magnetic Glass Quartet Boards

We've done printed/shape cut graphics and grids before, they might accumulate a bit of ink over time but shouldn't be too bad if they clean it properly.

  8. TX transfer tape for autowrap

Considering the OP is not an OEM vehicle manufacturer, I'm going to assume she meant air-egress vinyl.....but you know what they say about assuming.
  9. TX transfer tape for autowrap

We used to use 3M SCPS-55 for all our air-release films, but since switched to TransferRite 992U and it seems to work just as well.
  10. Multiple colors of cut vinyl in a logo - assemble on table, or on site

This. We've done both, and it really depends on a lot of factors. I'm a huge fan of dropping smaller 2nd color objects in and masking together, then peeling mask and getting rid of all the bits and pieces. This way when you get to site it's a 1 piece install. Installing in-house, we'll...

  12. OEM vinyl stripes air egress? picture inside

    There, fixed it for you.
  13. Vinyl suggestions to apply on acrylic

No. We use Oracal 3651 clear. You might want to look at the specs for that substance vinyl you're using though. If it's high tack or some other special vinyl you may want to try some 3651 or similar to play around with.
  14. Vinyl suggestions to apply on acrylic

Wet app or run it through the laminator. If running lots of shape cut panels, we've made jigs in the past to run them through the laminator.
  15. Best way to rename this sign...for the third time in 2-3 years

Can you mask off the brick etc, spray background on-site back to off-white/beige/whatever then just install a shape-cut ACM sign overtop, cut to the red border shape? Maybe use standoffs so when this business gets the boot from the crazy landlord you've got an easy sign swap. Just my $0.02
  16. Onyx 22 / Thrive wont auto rotate when nesting?

ONYXtechtips are you guys working on a solution for this?
  17. Digitech and colex conveyor system

Where's the fun in that....? :roflmao:
  18. Media for subsurface acrylic application

No we haven't found to have a fuzzy look with 3651 clear. You do get a bit of "orange peel" effect on clear areas if you're not backing the whole thing with white vinyl/ink though.

  20. Intro to Wall Graphics / Wall Murals

Welcome to Signs 101.................... We also have a UCJV and it's great for wall wraps. We generally use 3M 40C and Avery DOL 2080 Matte laminate and that combination has performed well. Regarding the step by step "Easy guide" you're looking for, I'd suggest searching through this forum...
