not sure what horror stories you are referring to, but it would help to know what type of materials you are primarily processing and how much space you will have...happy to offer suggestions but a bit lacking in your info
so many variables, what printer? media? what film laminate? looks like graphic is curling up...if so to much brake on top roll of lamination film. If its all warped( I cannot tell) speed / heat / nip issue
it would waste Kraft paper but you cold sandwich between the two for an easier run. waste material or time with your method...but yeah print on a wide format printer and be done
if that mesh liner is melting then your heater is too high on the printer. strip mesh plus works like a charm. temp settings/color saturation and passcode in the profile are key
what laminator model? always error on less. use 1 piece of tape dead middle to remove liner from laminate. I run with as much on ZERO BRAKE as I can. Less is more. you can always add when sending long run. is the film flat to top roller before entering machine? are you using craft on bottom of...
Best thing to do is hook up with a local reseller that will sell you ink and hopefully provide service. Who set the printer up for you? Couldn't they train you?
are you trying to print a .ai file? if so save to high res pdf. Is the rgb or cmyk? are they all the same? increasing heat on the printer can take your color another way, stay consistent.
AT THE ABSOLUTE LEAST YOU SHOULD GO TO YOU TUBE AND WATCH A FEW VIDEOS AND GO TO HP'S LEARNING CENTER WEBSITE FOR HELP. sorry for caps. Everyone on here is more than willing to assist. You just need a little more than this kind of help.
you cannot run adhesive vinyl any faster then 8pass. You can get 6p to work but you have to drop your saturation way down and you won't like the output
you are under warranty. don't pay for another box of ink until you speak with HP directly. Have them service your printer if your dealer was not able to train you properly. Inform them about your training they will send an HP trainer in to assist.
so what rip are you using? to confirm, you are or are not linearizing your prints? exact same roll of material? I know Onyx pushed out a print driver update for my two s40s. Im assuming they pushed new drivers out for all. Where they updated? Where/how are you storing your sample roll that is...
