I now see that any old file I open to reprint and cut has the cut info included in the file, which means just about anything outside of new files has to have this secondary step taken to go in and turn off Flexi info to allow the Summa to control the cut info.... I had a technical guy show me in Flexi... There are 2 places where you can set these preferences..why? I have no idea. One is in production manager where I knew to go but the one that overides everything is in the rip and print menu...it looks identical so I am not sure what the other one is...

you cant lift the strip and rotate it as it is basically a thin piece of whatever they are calling teflon with adhesive that seperates from the strip. I think that the seperation of the adhesive is actually why they wear out so fast. Even new strips the adhesive just does not want to stay on.

Ever notice that the cutting strips on Graphtecs always wear out down on the right bottom side where you cut most everything and the strip between 24 - 54" is perfect as you cut less up there. I found on my cutter you are forced to cut many things down near the origin point becaause you can't...

check the far right side of the print head...there are 3 black pieces of plastic that hang down and can catch lint and other stuff usually after a banner run. It collects on those and hangs low enough to rub the print

Some of these new vehicles are extremely hard to figure out. Using a level is OK to get an idea how straight you are to the world, but that does not mean to much on the side of a truck. Need to pick a body line and then stand back and look.

I have a customer who wants a wall graphic 6' x 7' - I plan on using Avery 2611 to print on. If I do a seam would you apply them with an overlap or butt them up, or do the overlap and like with wallpaper cut between the 2 and remove the excess? What about shrinkage

My opos reader has had issues and I am really tired of fighting with it on virtually every cut job. The cutter itself is very good and I might keep it as a backup if my Graphtec ( close to 20 years old) ever dies.
