How about continuing to run 19. I was told by the guys who sold mt my new Summa that version 21 has issues. That's all I had to hear, so I continue on 19
I run into issues with this software. I have a file that is rather large and was originally a pdf file made from a combo of bitmap and vector graphics. I want to send a proof to the customer but can't find a pdf option. Does it exist? If not what is the best way to save the file so that it is...
I have off site backups so it was not the end of the world, but it was probably one of the most important files...A colour chart I use daily to match pantone colours. Usually I import the new file then import the colour chart, this particular time I reversed the method and never doing that...
Is there any way to get it back? This is the one thing I don't like about this software..at least give me a warning screen, like are you sure you want to overwrite the file?. I know in Signlab it creates a backup file that you can change to a cdl file and like magic the original file is back
If your just cutting a circle why not just use the 4b by itself? I remember those days...set up 3 lines of copy with the little red LED readout, start it, go out get a coffee, drink it come back and it was almost finished!!! lol
Can't say that I have ever experienced the actual blade depth turning on it's own. I was going to say that possibly one side of the blade is worn heavier than the other or the tip is snapped off but the blade holder turning on its own is freaky
I tried a test and instead of sending a file out as an eps file I sent it as a pdf file as it was originally and all the colours are perfect...strange indeed.
How annoying is this?
I use Signlab as my main setup software as I am pretty fast in it and Flexi is designated strictly for print cut only. I am amazed at how a pdf file will change colours just by simply importing it and then exporting it as an eps file. I don't think it does it all the...
this plotter unlike every other plotter I have used for 30 years will not just simply allow you to remove the holder and put a new one in...you have to unscrew the holder to release it from the main head and in doing so I think you are retracting the blade all the way before the actual holder...
I had my new plotter for about 2 weeks when it was discovered that the mechanism that allow you to adjust the blade was jammed and the entire head had to be swapped out for a new one. In that 2 week period before I even knew there was an issue I was cutting 3 ml vinyl with 3 ml lam at about 135...
I bought a no name cordless heat gun on Amazon... it's good for about 15 minutes then kapoot. I knew that going in, but it is good on small jobs outside when you really don't want to run a power cord or can't access power
update on the new Summa. I have not really played around with the blade holder but the other day it just seems to be cutting to deep and I looked under the blade holder to see how far the blade was out.. Almost an 1/8" which is way to far. Tried unscrewing the blade holder and it turned about...
