  1. Any walldogs out there?

The owner thought the wall was stucco. But when I got up there to measure it, it's clearly thin stamped metal with a pebble grain, and it is "smooshy" when you push on it. It's not stucco like the rest of the building. I don't want to mess up the fridge/freezer or do anything that could be...
  2. Any walldogs out there?

It would be kind of fun to do. I haven't painted anything like this since I started out in signs over 30 years ago. The company I worked for then has been gone over 15 years. I don't own any of the equipment I would need, and I don't have paints and brushes and all the stuff you need for that...
  3. Best way to attach to stone

Thanks for the confirmation everyone. I was intending to use the wedge (drop-in) anchors, but the fact that they hardly carry any of them at the hardware store and when I was trying to research best practices, everyone seems to be saying to use screws directly into the stone was why I came to...
  4. Best way to attach to stone

Pretty sure it's real stone. Old, too.
  5. Best way to attach to stone

Yes, those. I used to hear them called lead anchors, but now all the hardware stores call them drop in anchors.
  6. Best way to attach to stone

Trying to decide how I'm going to hang a sign bracket on a building made of limestone block. The sign that was taken down was also hung from a projecting pole (an electric sign much larger than what we are hanging), and was attached with brackets screwed to drop-in anchors (what people used to...
  7. Any walldogs out there?

Is there anyone around still doing this? Anyone near Lake of the Ozarks who'd be willing to do a wall painted sign?
  8. Looking for best prices aluminum sign blanks in the US

    He's looking for .025". Not .25".
  9. Looking for best prices aluminum sign blanks in the US

.65mm converts to .025". Although you can find unpainted sheet stock that thickness, and even precut pieces in that thickness, I am not sure anyone has it painted white.
  10. panel size

Replacing the face with acrylic isn't going to be so easy. The channel is wide to accept the corrugated face. A piece of 3/16" acrylic is going to flop around like a fish.
  11. Font Help Please

There is no font of that. It's letters from the movie Toy Story, which are available as .svg file and .png file alphabets. The font is based on Gill Sans Ultra Wide. But there are variant letters not in the font.
  12. Need a little help

    dust on the print head
  13. What should I learn from this?

You shouldn't be using intermediate vinyl for your boat licenses and names either. The chalking paint is an issue, but most customers aren't going to get the truck repainted, and I have seen the lettering hold a long time on old box trucks.
  14. Marching Band Parade Banners

If you're ordering it anyway, order a sublimated polyester fabric banner. Even without a fringe it will look better, be lighter, and store better.
  15. Mitsubishi Express Van 2022 - how to remove handles before wrapping?

  16. US Air Force Blue Vinyl

Google is your friend. The brand guidelines say Pantone 287C, which is predominantly Reflex Blue. I'd use Sapphire Blue in cut vinyl. https://www.trademark.af.mil/Branding/Air-Force-Symbol/
  17. powdercoat and vinyl

Trying to decide whether to prime and paint my routed aluminum blank or take it to get powdercoated. Any potential problems with powdercoat and adhesion of HP vinyl?
  18. Bulletin Oil Paints in Gallons

    N. Glantz has many colors of Ronan in limited stock.
  19. Need Help such a simple font...help!

Simple looking font with quirky shapes. Large, clear file. You'd think the font search tools would eat this up. But no. Anyone recognize this?
  20. Getting paid from customer using bank ACH method

Typically when businesses or schools (the main place we see it) use this kind of payment system, you don't give the banking info to the customer, you enter it directly on the payment processor's website. So although you are putting that info "out there", you aren't giving it to a secretary down...
