  1. Outgassing in Eco-solvent

Yes, outgassing IS a real thing. You might not see it become an issue on regular decals going onto flat surfaces, but if you're putting decals or a wrap over recesses, those non-outgassed prints WILL pop back out of the crevices when a properly outgassed print will not. We learned that from...
  2. Tire Shredder | CM Shredders

Do you need decals produced for these machines? We produce a lot of industrial decals for similar companies machinery!
  3. Looking for help in deciphering this coloring code

https://encycolorpedia.com/search?q=RAL+5011 For the gradient if you are supposed to be matching the yellow/blue at the ends you will have to convert them to the appropriate CMYK values from your Pantone Color Bridge book and have the blend work from that. You can't put actual spot colors into...
  4. Circle sticker issues

Some plotters just cut decals with borders like this better than others. The type of registration marks used/read can also lead to tighter tolerances if that is an option on your plotter.
  5. Looking for ACM/Polymetal

We are looking for a few sheets of 1/4" (6 mm) Brushed Silver Polymetal and all of our usual suppliers are out. Does anyone know of any (US) suppliers that might have some in stock?
  6. Opinions: Epson 60600 vs. Mimaki JV300-160 for wraps?

We have been VERY happy with our Epson S60600 printers. (we have 3 now) They are super user-friendly, easy to set up, load and maintain. We have not had any major problems out of ours, but we learned with our last generation Epsons (S70 series) that it is better to keep them all under warranty...
  7. Cool little promo video of us

When I started here 10 years ago we were much smaller and only had about 6 employees total. We have grown every year and now we do as much in 1-2 days as we used to do in a week. Put out quality work and you'll gain loyal customers and have the good reputation to gain new customers. Our main...
  8. Avery® SF 100 Conform Chrome

We have cut the Avery Chrome Wrap Vinyl for customer vehicle lettering. It does last well. No issues cutting it on our old Mimaki plotters at that time.
  9. Cool little promo video of us

Hello, here is a nice little "behind the scenes" video of us at work here at Crux RoadBoardz (where I work). (Yes, I am talking in the video some) Let me know your thoughts!
  10. Epson Printer Keeps Tripping Surge Protector, Should I Get A Battery Backup?

There are different "grades" of surge protector. Possibly yours just isn't up to snuff. Buy a quality one that will handle the load, not just a cheap one. Epson printers like these are supposed to be on their own 30 amp circuit IIRC.
  11. Think it's too subtle? LOL.

I had a customer years ago that wanted this on their landscaping trucks. Said it helped bring in business, lol.
  12. Think it's too subtle? LOL.

This company actually DOES specialize in erections.
  13. Think it's too subtle? LOL.

I always laugh at this one when I see them on the road.
  14. Customer put my road sign on a 40' pole

I would be more worried about a sign that was made to sit close to the ground being incorrectly affixed to a pole 40' up in the air. Be sure you keep a photo of it mounted on the ground so that if it falls they don't try to blame you.
  15. Question Color + White + Color on Epson S80600

I updated my post above with an informational PDF that I learned it from.
  16. Question Color + White + Color on Epson S80600

Yes, we have done it with Onyx, but we now only have Epson S60600 machines here as we never really used the white much. Obviously you have to set up your file correctly first (everything has to be overprint). You have to be using a correct Profile in the RIP that supports the white/layering...
  17. Background Removal Software

The topaz one works about as good as it is going to without using Photoshop to do it manually. It does take some learning tinkering and not every photo works well but it can do a great job of masking really complicated objects like hair.
  18. Recommendations on Sign Shop Management Software?

In this case it is about migrating from one software to another. Data migration is moving data from our current software into another, it is also something we desire in this move though.
  19. Wanted Looking for USED 60"^ Heat Assisted Laminator (seal, royal, GBC)

In response to the above post about laminator setup/maintenance on GFP: When we purchased the first GFP563th we have the vendor set it up for us and we've never had issues out of it that require "tweaking" or "adjustment". It laminates thousands of rolls per year and is around 6 years old. We do...
  20. White Lettering: 3M IJ170C Question

I would just get a roll of 3M 7125 for this. Rivets aren't much of an issue without air release vinyl, just squeegee and post heat them after you pull the app tape. You wont want to wrap a vehicle using vinyl without comply (air release).
