  1. Mutoh MC 650s vinyl cutter

LONG before my time.... But I suspect you are correct.
  2. Head Life?

The head is rated for some 8 billions drops per nozzle, if memory serves me. I have customers who do good maintenance and get 4 years out of it.
  3. Mutoh MC 650s vinyl cutter

That looks like a cutter from 1998. I dont see any drivers listed for it. You can find the manual at: http://www.mutoh.be/
  4. Nozzle Issue?

Hopefully you just have air in the head. If it doesnt work out, I would start head soaks.
  5. Colors are just wrong

Yes, and you still have quite a few missing or misdirected nozzles. Head soak, head soak, head soak.
  6. Colors are just wrong

    Cross contamination?
  7. Print Head Screws for Rockhopper II

Post a pic of the location, and I will see what I can find.
  8. Falcon outdoor jr e074 error

    Perhaps this will help: http://www.signs101.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28106&highlight=E074+error
  9. Pinch Wheel Lines!?!?!

Plasticizer is what makes PVC flexible. It can, after a time separate out and 'migrate' to the surface (typically the outerpart of the roll). Ink does not penetrate as well when this happens and can cause printing issues. It can be absorbed into the printer pinch rollers and then be...
  10. Need some help....

You can check the continuity of each 'wire' in the ribbon. Remove the cable, touch your probe ends to the same wire at each end. Check for 'resistance'
  11. Rockhopper 38 parts mess

All of that is included in a maintenance station.
  12. Media Feeding Issue

I run perf with the same profile and temps as I do the unperfed material it was made from. You may need to let it dry a lot longer because there the line doesnt absorb or adsorb as well as the vinyl.
  13. Clogged head Mutoh valuejet 1204 (I think)

Very LAST thing I would do. I mean if you are going to buy a new head, there is nothing to lose. Otherwise, pull through the cap. IMHO.
  14. 10X inflation in the last 40 years.

So if the Stock Market is at 12,000......
  15. Need some help....

Grounding is done through the cable. That part is put tension on the heads for alignment. Will run without it, it will just make adjustments a bit more difficult. You can run continuity on the cable. But you may have blown out fuses, the heads or mainboard.
  16. Clogged head Mutoh valuejet 1204 (I think)

The LAST thing I would recommend is trying to push solution through the head. You can easily damage the piezos and/or blow out the dampers. You want to pull. Head soak, and pull a vacuum on the bottom of the capping station.
  17. Vj 1608

That sounds like a media thickness measurement errror. Could be a damaged sensor. Or one that has been knocked out of position. Have you contacted your dealer? This is a specialty printer, and as such requires more maintenance and care than other ValueJets.
  18. Mutoh 1624

I've got one in our demo room here. You should ask your local dealer for a demo and see it for yourself. http://www.mutoh.com/mutoh_dealers.php Or maybe an Open House: http://www.mutoh.com/event.php The specs are here: http://www.mutoh.com/valuejet-1624.php If you have any...
  19. Pinch Wheel Lines!?!?!

You might try lower temps, or sometimes higher temps. Lower pressure setting on the media lever. Possibly plasticiser migration, if so, you will probably see it on media you print right after.
  20. SubTankLo Error at and of ink?

Pump and empty cart sensors should not be related. Empty cart sensors sense a tab and is supposed to stick out from the cartridge itself. This is typically bad cartridges, but very unusually to find all 4 doing the same at the same time. If this happened because of the tech visit, I would...
