I just bought a wireless MS mouse 5000- I love it- 5 buttons and tilting
scroll wheel. The tilt wheel function works great- the scroll (horizontal)
direction is jet propelled- one click is about a yard. Reminds me of trying
to squeeze off a single round on my machinepistol...
My SP300 came with 2 sets of media clamps- one longer pair that could not
be used with the cutoff feature. My VP540 (I think) did not come with them-
maybe the 54" printers with the hi/lo head height doesn't use them? I am
printing some 36" perfed material that the head pulls up the edge of...
I tried WTFont but got nothing even close- maybe I need practice with that
site. My daughter has been down with the flu all week and our other employee was out for 3 days- I am about dead. Thanks Gene
I have never had this particular problem before- printing a 4x12 banner with
a light tan background and I get slightly darker streaks wherever the center
rollers are. I ended up taking the rollers out and had no problems with the
12 foot long print- do you all use the rollers? I don't with...
I started to try to modify a Roland RIPC profile to play nice with my
Triangle Ink set last spring- but haven't had time to spend since then.
Has anyone else had any success with this approach? I am not sure if the
RIPC profiles have something related to RIPC in them or it was the firmware...
I have several blade holders for my Edge and a couple for my VP- I like to
dial in a blade for a material and be able to leave it alone. Anyway- just
realized that the Edge blade holder will fit the Roland, altho I had to make
a spacer out of a washer (about 1/16") to correct the headspace...
I am setting up a new main design computer (my daughters, she is officially
the head design person) and while loading all the programs and crap that we
need to do business I ran across the invoice for a computer purchased on
12.27.2000- by the time it was set up the hardware cost was $2600...
that I bought years ago and cannot find now. I would like to have
another of them. Anyone recognize it? The brand name is 'Lowe' and
the anvil that the blade cuts against was the length of the blade before it was
'repurposed'. Thanks Gene
My sweetie just took a part time job using MSword and I am trying to help
her- she needs a box with a check in it for a document. So I found it in
wingdings- the character code is 0xFD- but my progs will only accept
numerals from the 10 key portion of the keyboard. Something I don't...
I have Estimate 1 and am about to upgrade to 2.0. I believe that it will handle
the estimating end better than what I am using. My concern is with the
invoicing function- does it do what you need it to and is it easy to use? I
read a couple of questions in their support forum that got me...
I am noticing a couple of behaviors with my VP540 that are curious.
The machine seems to slip from 'sheet scan' to 'full width' scan a lot-
I cannot seem to be able to identify when this happens. I print mostly
30" vinyl and if it is not set to 'sheet scan' (menu>submenu>full width...
I have never noticed this before- when I make a gradient from say PMS485
red to black- that the 485 end is not actually 485- it is washed out. It looks
the same on the monitor (unless I use softproof) but it prints lighter. What
am I missing here? Thanks Gene
I have struggled with this for years- I realize that it works only to the point
of there not being a node too close to any corner. Are there any other
tips for using this tool that I am missing. Thanks Gene
When I change the page size in a file I usually have to save the file and
reopen it to be able to select any object. This happens most often (I think)
when we open an existing older flexi file, but it has happened with new
files as well. Any thoughts? Thanks Gene
I have a 400 disk changer and a 300 disk changer that play music CDs all
day (and sometimes all night). These are Sony Mega Storage and they are
pretty much the only thing that I buy extended warranties on. But they are
getting long in the tooth and I know that they take a real beating from...
