Yes, a heat-assisted laminator is exactly what you are looking for to help you get the look you are talking about. (silvering is what you are seeing now) I REALLY recommend GFP laminators; we have the 463TH here and it is a workhorse and very simple to web up and run roll-to-roll.

I thought that reflective only went up to 54" currently in either Avery or Oracal? Maybe put a border made out of reflective striping around it.

We bought a slitter because it is a HUGE hassle if you run rolls all day long. When rolls come in we cut 1/4" off of them twice. Then you have free "edge seal tape". ;)
