  2. whats a good strong adhesive vinyl for low energy plastics?

Arlon DFP8000 works great for us for low energy plastics.
  3. Gerber printing problem. Help please

It looks like the motor is getting overloaded when rewinding at high speed. (Unless when you check the vinyl itself is damaged?) but it sounds like mechanical failure within the machine to me. First step is to take the whole case off the printer and blow out everywhere you can, while it's apart...
  4. Vehicle Wrap - Best Squeegee To Use

All of our installers primarily use Geek Wrap squeegees now, but they still keep oddballs like Golden Squeegees and the standard 3M blue ones around in their pouches also. They also use the little hooked chopped down squeegee things for tight areas... can't remember their names.
  5. Doming Materials

We are thinking of adding doming to our capabilities, but with no real experience producing actual domed decals I cannot recommend which machine to purchase. Can anyone here let me know what machine they prefer, or do not prefer for this?
  6. RTA cut vinyl that sticks to concrete?

3M has made some major materials changes just recently, so there are a lot of new options in 680CR solid color reflective materials. they should conform and stick well to black. Good luck getting one of their new swatch books though, we could only get one!

  9. Logo cover up job

I'm not Deano55, but I would REALLY like to recommend Epson over HP for vibrant colors w/o hassle. We have both here and when you need vibrant colors we always turn to the Epson S70670.
  10. Reflective vinyl printing questions

You may be looking at a Gerber Edge print on reflective. It produces solid prints on reflective that don't have a "layered look" to them. Post up pics of the vinyl if you don't mind. Are you sure that the yellow striping doesn't come as yellow? I've only done a few buses, but the yellow I've...
  11. Jv3 160s 6 to 4 color conversion

Rubo, care to post up a write-up here? I have a buddy with a 6-color machine that would be useful if converted to 4-color. I'm sure everyone here would appreciate your knowledge!

  13. OK this is new??

I think it wants you to replace that down arrow button, looks like it's about worn out.... I haven't seen that warning yet on mine so I can't help ya, sorry. Your local tech support should be able to tell you what part to order, I know my local guy would tell me what it is. I would bet on...
  14. Installer Position Available Bluegrass Kentucky

We might be somewhat of a competitor (Hebron, KY) but we don't target your area for new sales or steal customers. Our guys do great work and we do travel all over the area for installs, so if you need someone on a "per job" basis it might be worth calling Adam here at Crux RoadBoardz and getting...
  15. Jv3 160s 6 to 4 color conversion

Not worth a tech visit for that old of a model. You could pick up a used JV3 in good running condition for less than that. (keep your for parts)
  16. Problems with single sided laminating: what am I missing?

Training, patience, and OTJ experience is all that will help you be a better laminator. You might also want to look into purchasing a simpler/easier laminator if the current one is too complicated for everyday use. We had a Seal here and only one guy could run it well. We purchased a GFP and...
  17. Surecolor S50675 deflected nozzle

Ours has had two or three nozzles like this since we purchased it (demo unit). We haven't seen any issues because of it.

  19. Sp300v. Magenta ink going up the yellow ink line

That's what happens when you don't allow the lines to drain correctly into the waste bottle. (if you had a clogged hose) Run some big squares of only cyan and magenta until the mixed ink is flushed out of the lines. A head soak can't be left sitting for that long on this type of machine as the...
