I was going to post this also, but another option would be to use hook & loop (velcro) strips and a piece of sintra/coro with double-sided print. It'd be a lot cheaper also and would not fall off if the machinery vibrates.

For small cut vinyl decals we use VinylEFX Smooth Silver. If they want blue you can print on it with a thermal printer and get awesome effects. I assume you can also print on it with a regular printer, but have never tried. it lasts a good while.
