when it says "Setting up Cutter Down POS", are you moving the carriage by hand all the way to the left and forcing the carraige against the inside of the printer before pressing enter?
I never advise an end user to use a syringe for anything other than attaching it to the tubes on the captop and trying to pull ink through the cap.
Never, never try and push solution up through the head.
Pinch off the lines from the captop and fill the cap with the compatible solution for your...
Your grit roller is likely loaded up with paper dust and needs cleaned. Use alcohol and a brass bristled wire brush to clean the knurls in the grit roller. As woolly said, add a few of the extra rollers to the middle of the media to help.
If you're hearing grinding, you are probably past an easy fix. Likely the rail bearing packs are shot and the bearings inside have destroyed the bearing chain.
The scale is off. Either there is a number entered in and there shouldnt be, or there isnt a number entered in and you need one.
The calibrations in the cut config need ran, and the encoder needs calibrated.
Trained techs are well worth the money. Find one that doesn't charge $300(??) trip charge and treats you fair. YouTube will only teach you so much, and using a syringe is a last ditch effort, not to be the go to test.....
First, disconnect the printer from the computer, then go into your windows apps, and uninstall all Mimaki driver software.
RESTART the PC after uninstalling the driver.
Now do a full install of the driver, and only plug in the printer when prompted.
Which dealer are you working with?
The vacuum settings can be turned from auto to 100% to force the machine to use maximum pressure to see if that helps.
I never use the extra rollers in the center unless cutting through a material or laminate that requires over 200 lbs of force for cutting.
