What is the deal? I have a SP-540, Roland advertises 114 sq/hr. In the two years I have had it I cannot get anywhere near that speed. Right now I am printing some 4 x 20 banners, less then 50% coverage and it is taking 3 hours to print:Sleeping:.
80 sq.ft. in 3 hours, that is like 26.66...
I might say one thing about Second Copy... I use it too with good results, except...
I had it doing backups nightly on one machine to a network drive, it seems the ip address changed on the network drive. Suffice to say when I needed the backup it wasnt there... I watched the log files every...

Corel Draw is one of the most powerful graphics programs available. Much more so then Sign Lab or Flexi in my opinion...

Why not get Corel Draw?? That is all I would get... for the vector graphics that you will cut on the plotter there is nothing simpler or as good imho.

I started out buying a package like that 4 years ago. It is a way to start, but not the best way imho.
I would get the graphtec cutter and Corel X3 with either signtools or cocut.
Once I got a handle on Corel I forgot about LXI. I have it around here somewhere... in the bottom of my software draw.

I am in the market for a wide format trimmer to cut prints and some substrates.
Right now I have several sheets of .030" polycarbonate that needs to be cut in to various sizes.
I have been looking at several different models, the Fletcher Terry and the Keen Cut.

Maybe it is just me but I have no luck mounting unlaminated vinyl with a laminator, If I laminate the vinyl first then mounting it to the substrate is a breeze.
